Remembrance

When i lived in Wales for a few years, i remember people offering paper poppies to honor war veterans..like we do for Memorial Day in the US...you give a donation and you receive a red paper poppy.  I couldn't remember when this happened but i do remember it being something done annually.  Well, Card Crafter Circle is "owned" by a sweet lady called, Pauline,  and she is from Australia and i would bet being a "colony" of Britain at one time that they honor their veterans in the same way as they do in Wales.

On to our new challenge!  In November, many of us are swept up in the commemoration of Remembrance Day/Armistice Day on November 11, taking time to remember all our service men and women through too many wars, who have given the ultimate sacrifice ... for their country and for our freedom.

Remembrance / Poppies

Your creation should follow our theme above, Remembrance, and can be military minded, or in remembrance of someone close to you.  The red poppy is a world recognized symbol of remembrance, so you could also create a card using red poppy flowers.

Here is my card using a Sweet Flower Fairy from A Day for Daisies...i think this image is beautiful and could be used for any occasion.
