Simply Delightful!

Is it possible to have this much fun creating cards with these fun images...uh huh it is!  And why is it so delightful???  Well it's because i am using the Digital Delights, Delightful Dotty...DDDD!  Guess what else..this image is super special to me, because it is also my watermark for DD...LOVE IT!

This image is Dotty (from OZ) but i sort of used her as a woodsy theme and next month i will have another image from Digital Delights with the Woodland theme as well!!
I am pretty excited about this card, i found this diecut paper that are cut logs..and i thought "Perfect" for my Dotty to sit on..  I am also using a special sentiment from Digital Delights as well!
Oh and there is an entire set of Oz here also!

For some great inspiration using Digital Delights images please check out this blog!!!

Why stop there??? You can go to our Digital Delights challenge blog as well and win some great prizes from our sponsors.. YES! (Tell them Grandma Bonnie sent you)

Hello, Annie style

I have been dying to make this card since i saw another blogger use this image.  Her card was so very cute!  I also wanted to make this card because i have a friend from another DT that is from AU and her daughter was Annie in a big production..and she sings like a super star!

This card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge this week.  I actually rotated the sketch for this card, i also used an image from Whimsie Doodles, but i did a bit of switching heads...there are two images that look like Annie, but this body belonged to another head..and that head had glasses..so i did a bit of cutting..but don't worry, because in October i will be using the parts not used on this card(head and body) for another cute project..

My card for this challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches..our sponsor this week is There She Goes clear stamps and they carry Whimsie Doodles clear stamps..the one i used is digital from Whimsie Doodles.

Happy Birthday with Roses and Ribbon

It is so hard for me to do "real" flowers..i try and try..and i am never quite happy with them.  I think i am so stuck in a rut about "cute" that i have issues with "real".    Then because i have issues with "real" i have to find another way to be creative, sooo, i decided to go the paper pieced route..and that's what i did with this flower..i printed it about 6 times...all different colors and dp.  Oh and i did lots of texture too...embossing the card base, kraft paper and the white cardstock behind the rose.

This week at Card Crafter's Circle we are making cards with Roses and Ribbons.  This is my attempt at that challenge:

Flying by with a Halloween "hi"

Ok, i am still on cloud nine..being on the DT at Digital Delights..and it's only been a few weeks...and i can't get enough of these images that Wendy makes..boy, i'd love to be this talented...

This week i am showcasing "Wizard Toby"...and you know the hardest thing to color.. yes, it is black!  And then what's funny about that is that using Copics, is i found out after purchasing black as one of my first copics that it's not really used, but the grays are used instead...so my black just sits there...i do use the copic black liner, though.  Toby at Digital Delights is colored brown..and is so cute..i thinking that a striped Toby should be my next project with him. :)

Here's ... Toby...and a Halloween sentiment from Digital Delights:

of course i had to take a close up of Toby because he has a bit of glitter on him.. hee, hee
Copics i used:
cheeks- R14, 20
cat- C3, 5, 7
hat- BV00, 01, 04, G21, 24, YG67
stars- Y32, 35 YR04

Peppermint wishes

Again, i am sharing a card for 7 Kid's College Fund blog...as their September Guest Designer.

There are some new rubber stamps that were just released about a month ago..and i am playing with one of them.  And this stamp is one of Krista Smith's darling images and she's called Candy Canes and it is available at 7 Kids College Fund.

What i like about Krista's images are the details...when i first started coloring her images i thought oh this is tough..but the more i colored the more i liked the detail..it's the difference between a puzzle with 1000 pieces and one with 500...you take more time with the large puzzle but you also get a bit more satisfaction from the completion.

This image begged to be a Christmas card:

Ok, so by now it should be obvious..i am NOT a journalist..i say very simple things..like i love this or it's so cute....and again..looking at the images i use and the fact that they are black and white and i get to color them...and i never know if i will like what i do...i am surprised every time how they might turn out.  I always have a plan...but i just never know..really!
