Whew that title was a mouth full! This card is from Dutch Paper Craft's memory Box Snowflake release. I am telling you, this bundle is AWESOME..so many things to do with just a few dies. What is the saying, "It's just a tip of the iceberg"!
For this card i wanted to do a new "fancy fold" for me. It's really not hard if you check it out. It's just a circle adhered to one side (right) and a cut out circle on the left.
I used the Memory Box Sussex Snowflake #98648 and the Sussex Globe #98656 together for the center. I also used Gabriella Border #98649 around the outside of the circles.
A couple of things about the outside of this card. The edges were cut using one of my favorite dies called Charlotte Border #98242. This border is different then most because it doesn't cut through on one side..sort of like working with a border punch. The kraft Gabriella border is part of the release but i wanted to say that because of it's delicate lines, it is flexible and can curve like i did here..otherwise it can be as shown on the packaging in a straight line. Below i've slightly opened the card so you can see how it works, and it can stand up.
I've also finished off the inside of this card. I used the "negative part" of the Sussex Snowflake and embossed the inside using a LifeStyle Crafts snowflake embossing folder EF-A2-056, any would do. The cute little elf is from A Day For Daisies. I've added a sentiment to the sent of the "candy" and used Inkessentials Glossy Accents on top of the sentiment.

Bonnie, your cards are all gorgeous! I didn't have time to craft this weekend, kept busy with 2 fund raising dinners, one on Sat. and one on Sun. Hope you are safe after the storms on Sunday afternoon. Everything here is ok, just no power. I think it will be out for a day or two.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I have never tried this kind of card before (I've tried gatefold, but never with the overlapping circles). Love these memory box dies, too. So elegant. Thanks for playing with CSAYL.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the gate fold.
The diecuts and snowflakes are stunning and I love the inside just as much. Beautiful embossing and sweet little image.
Thank you for playing along this month at Freshly Brewed Challenges November Prize Challenge.
Big smiles,
Heather D.
