Every 1st, 3rd and 5th week of the month,  i look forward to the new release that  Sami Stamps  creates.  This time the release is called Poodle Fun!

You have one more day to play at our current SPARKLE challenge!   To go to the Sami Stamps challenge click here.

I love this sweet whimsical image called Christmas Gift Poodle:
This image was paper pieced and embossed and distressed with ink.

I snipped the ornament/bow off of the top of the gift so that i could make this a get well card for a special friend's daughter that has down syndrome and is having open heart surgery.

Sherri Baldy's My Besties PPP Challenge- Anything Goes/Flowers plus Bow card Tutorial

For the next two weeks at My Besties PPP Challenge blog we have another great challenge for you!

** Note our new name**  PPP = Pretty Pre-colored Printables

The challenge theme is- Anything Goes w/opt of Flowers

To participate in our My Besties PPP challenges go here

For this project i am using a My Besties digital image i colored called Besties Bee found here and a Printable Tag #13 found here.

I have also used two of Sherri Baldy's dies.  The Love die found here and the outlined hearts found here.

The white flourish heart die is a border i cut in sections from Memory Box.

Bow tutorial:
Step #1.  Enlarge tag to 3" high. Flip one tag. Print out tags and cut out tags. Mat on brown paper and 1" extended. Trim corners and make tails. Cut out bow sections. Here is the link to the pattern for the bow sections.
Step #2. Place the two tags on vertical card base (i matted mine and used a spiral punch at the top). Adhere...this will take the weight of the bow so secure well.

Step #3 Glue bow sections together
Step #4. Attach bow sections securely as shown
Step #5. Make smaller bow sections and add to the center. Cut out a matted oval and place over center. Add your image and embellish your card. It will stand up because of the vertical card base. Looks pretty on a mantel..or large area. This card is 11.5" wide.

This is what happens when i decide to clean up my desktop.. Happy Bestie cards!

Did you like the title to this post?  I have been trying to organize my desktop all day long and if you've been a follower you've been seeing quite a few posts here today.  I think this might be the last..well, i am tired so it will be the last.

So i made this card in Sept. 2014, but i never posted it because i made it for a friend and mailed it off. I thought, this image is so cute and cheery that i needed to post her today!

This image is a Sherri Baldy My Besties image with the longest name i think i've seen so far for her images... ready...  Fairy Kitty IMG373 Garden Flower Bestie Daisy Ann, you can find her here.
I turned this card in to a step card..

How about a My Besties Stamped Canvas tag for your bag?

Here is yet another project i wanted to make to showcase Sherri Baldy's acrylic stamp line.  This time i've used an image that was exclusively made for Create and Craft TV, however ANY Sherri Baldy stamp would work.

To see Sherri Baldy's line of Acrylic stamps you can go to Marker Pop here or her Etsy store here, they both have different stamps to purchase.

Here is the bag i used (purchased from Michaels).
Close up of tag and canvas flower i made using Sherri Baldy's flower die set found here.
For instructions on how i made this tag you can visit my Youtube channel here:

Trying something new with Sherri Baldy My Besties Stamps and Video tutorial

I wanted to try something new to interest people in doing some stamping and came across a few videos on how to stamp on cups.  I thought, ok, i will give this a try and went to my local charity shop.  I came up with a really pretty china coffee/teapot.

Here is my finished project using a Sherri Baldy's Stamp of the Month club stamp. You can join the club here.
It is not a "professional" finished job, it has more of a crafty look..and i  think it's pretty. :)

To see the process on how i finished the project you can check out my video.

Here are my supplies:

Coloring with Kid's crayons and My Besties Friends Aboard image part 2

I thought i'd do a step by step on my blog..i do have an album on Facebook with the step by step as well posted to My Besties Designs.

So here we go, i will be coloring up My Besties img Friends Aboard found here.
This card is a slider card, not an easel card.

Step by Step kid's crayon coloring..step one-
Because you can't really "blend" what you put down first stays the other "builds" up on top with not much color..so plan to put down your darkest first (in most cases) Wax on top of wax doesn't blend well. A bit of shadow here.

step 2..
Cheeks, skin and eye color. Darker crayons show up better.

step 3
Hair color..don't you like that.."Fuzzy Wuzzy".. LOL Should go on the bear!

step 4
Adding the magenta and hot magenta to the trim on the outfit and the hot magenta to the cheeks for the bear, dog and moon.

step 5
Some shadow for the outfit and moon..

step 6
moon colors..

 step 7
bear colors... brown eyes for the bear and the dog.

step 8
Dog colors

 step 9
Boat Colors

step 10
Waves and ribbon mast colors

 step 11
Sail colors

step 12- Last step. Finished colored image.

Challenges:
Cosmic Colours- Color Palette

Coloring with Kid's Crayola Crayons and My Besties images part one

Recently there was a challenge at Kit and Clowder asking their viewers to use kid's crayons to color an image.   I have always loved to color and i thought i am going to give this a try.  I colored up two images and instantly put them into cards.

The first card i colored was with My Besties image Brittnay.  I chose to use a standard cardstock to color this image.
Here is the card from this crayon colored image:

Next i colored up another My Besties image called Helping Hands.  I thought i made the mistake of coloring on x-press it paper..but i am not so sure..it does have a slick surface..but it allowed me to slightly scrap back the wax build up with my fingernail.

And my finished card.

These are super fun to do and i hope i have encouraged you to give it a try.

I have made a step by step coloring image/card in my next post.

Sami Stamps new Release Floral Brides

Every 1st, 3rd and 5th week of the month,  i look forward to the new release that  Sami Stamps  creates.  This time the release is called Floral Brides!

The challenge at Sami's Stamps is to use a Sami Stamp and a touch of glitter!
Please come and play, we'd love to see what you can create.  Don't forget, Sami always offers a freebie so anyone can play along!  To go to the Sami Stamps challenge click here.

I love this sweet whimsical image called, Rose Bride:

I have used vellum for my image and put it in the window to give it a lighted affect.
Because the window is vellum i added a flap inside the card to write the sentiment/message on.  Here is a look at it:

Dies used:
Frame is from Cheery Lynn
Heart flourish is from Doo Hickey
Tiny flowers from Memory Box.

Copics used:
skin- YR00, YR24
hair- Y19

I did some Pergamano on the flower bouquet. It is where you put pressure with a tool w/ a ball point on the back side of the vellum and it turns it white.

Here is the fun new release:
