Spellbinders - BetterPress Ink - Thunder

What i did... First, i pressed the From Ink to Petal using the BetterPress Ink, Thunder. Next, i used the Ink to Petal stencil and Lisa Horton Inks. Wishing You Sunny Days!

You can create this sweet wall art or make it as a card if you'd like!

Here is what i used:
White Spruce Studio - 52 Baby Farm Animals (Bunny, Sun, fence and flower)

For this project, i up-cycled a charity frame. Originally it had a Christmas theme. I covered the scene with blue glitter paper and layered some paper on top. Next i printed out the Bunny, sun, fence and flower several times and layered them with foam tape to create a 3D wall art scene. You can also do single layers or make this a sweet baby card! Don't forget these can be used on baby onesies and shower decorations!

Creating a Stamped Circus Doll Dress

Each week i share something i have created based on a theme.

This week the theme is "circus".
So, i thought about that i wanted to do something with the circus tent "fabric" and then i remembered i had a Tim Holtz red rubber stamp called, Big Top, that i thought was so fun when i purchased it and i hadn't used it yet.

So this is what i did:
First i cut out the stripe dress pattern on the bias because i wanted the diagonal stripe instead of a vertical or horizontal stripe. I added gold rick rack to the sleeve hem.
To create the image, i found a scrap of cotton muslin thinking it would take the ink better than a polyester fabric. I knew i was going to make it an applique so i added heat and bond to the back of the muslin and then i put it in my stamp platform that also had a sticky mat so it could hold the fabric well, i still used the magnet and washi tape to hold it down. I knew i'd have to stamp the image several times and the platform allowed me to do that without the fabric moving.
I tried the dress on the doll without the stamped image applique, so i could see where i wanted to iron the applique on. Once i was happy, i ironed it on and hand stitched around it using the button hold stitch.
Now for embellishing...
I had gold tulle in my stash and gathered a piece for the bodice and for the hem of the skirt. I added red pompoms to the tulle on the bodice.
For the appliques, i added gold beads, iridescent beads and embroidery floss.

I used Kelibu - Mori Girl Collared Dress. (I added 1/4" to the shoulder seam)
Because i added 1/4" to the seam i had to make a sleeve with more width. (this pattern doesn't come with a sleeve, so i used another pattern and widened it)
I also cut a strip of fabric on the bias to make a neck facing.

White Spruce Studio March Freebie - Stained Glass Bunny Download

Hello!
Let's have some fun with something from White Spruce Studio!
Today I am playing with...
March Freebie from White Spruce Studio
Available here

NEW - White Spruce Studio - Bunny Stained Glass Download

Each design comes with detailed instructions with photos.

You can find this wonderful design in two stores:

For this project, i used a White Spruce Studio March Freebie called Stained Glass Bunny.
You can find this here:

I chose to use the SVG format, but there is a black line download as well.
Instead of cutting it out with my Cricut, i changed the cutting lines to "score".
I used a metallic gold paper that has a kraft paper backing.
This gave an embossing look, but it is not raised...so more like an etched look.
Next, i sanded the metallic paper to give it a distressed look. Then i decided to paint sections. I knew that i could use Ranger Tim Holtz distress paint because it adheres to wood, plastic etc. Stopping there would have been good, but i wanted a bit more distressing so i pulled out Art Alchemy Matte Wax - Charcoal Black, again this adheres well.. in this case too well for me, so i did a bit more sanding and repainted the bunny, flowers and vines again. I like this look better, instead of the solid white i had to begin with i now had a mixture of the paint and wax.
This Freebie isn't just an SVG... you also get a Black and white PNG, JPG download that you can color. I plan to try some other techniques with this pretty design.

Thinking about Spring Flowers!

Created this cute shirt and skirt for American Girl WellieWishers, Ashlyn!
I have had this fabric "scrap" for some time and thought it would be fun to use the tiny bit of border i had as the skirt and then i used the floral part of the fabric above the border for the shirt!
I added rick rack to the shirt insets.
This border fabric had two different borders in between the floral design, so i am hoping to make another dress/project using the other border for an 18" doll.

Thanks for Stopping By!

I am sharing a scrapbook page of my daughter, who lives in Colorado.  She started "container" gardening in her side yard a couple years ago and this is how she started.
Her dog, Olive is also a fan!

I have also used:
Spellbinders - Fresh Picked Anemones Cutting Dies
For this scrapbook page, i printed off the same photo in different sizes to fit the 8" x 8" page.  I also added her dog from another photo.
I hand scored and accordion folded the metallic base to look like her garden strips.  (using a paper crimper would have been faster, but mine wasn't available when i created this page) I also distressed the metallic paper, first by sanding it and thenby using paint and wiping it back.

Sending Love to Someone Special!

I created this "ice cream" figure to look like a SquishMallow toy called, Dibbs.
This cutting die is super fun, it has feet that swing back and forth and makes it looks like this die is dancing!
This image is a altered by using several Spellbinders products together.
Spellbinders - Dancin' Figgy Pudding (main image)
Spellbinders - Dancing Hearts (used straight legs for the "rope" banner and the top of the cherry, leaf for cherry)
Spellbinders - Gingerbread Plane & Banner ( used banner and the cloud for "ice cream" drips)
Spellbinders - Pop Up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree (APG die of the month Nov21) used top layer of ornament for cherry and added "double" bow to the cherry
Spellbinders - Stacked Stories (3D embossing folder of the month May 25) used small lattice section of book binding for the "ice cream cone" texture
