You make life sweet! Lemon card

**Sneak peek.... This will be the new freebie released at Digi My World  friday (July 8th).  Haven't these fruit images been fun?  I really think so.  I will have to make a grand finale card with all of the images.
I have also entered this card in deconstructing jen's blog.  I thought it was a perfect sketch for the lemons!

What i did:
I followed the sketch and used the digi image from Digi My World.

What a Peach!

Aren't you enjoying the Freebie fruits from Digi My World?  This week's freebie is this cute little peach.  I did a simple card and to give you an idea, you can use any of the fruit in place of the peach...why not whip up a card set for a gift?

Celebrate with Captain America part 2- the card

Here is the card i made using the head from Captain America.  Again the digi image from Digi My World.  I used the sketch from MFT (My Favorite Things).  Same Copics used as listed in previous post.

Celebrate with Captain America!!

Digi my World has done it again!  Last week she released some awesome Marvel images.  I chose to do Captain America.  I think it is a super cute idea for the 4th of July celebrations.  The Pez dispenser would make a cute party favor  and the tin tub could have any type of treat, but the licorice works for "fireworks".  If you wanted to use these as birthday party favors and treats that would work as well, don't you think???

What i did:
I colored in the images and cut them out.  I cut the head off of the one image and put his body on a Pez dispenser...hee, hee!  He's cute though.  I am saving the head for a card..(no waste).
I then cut out a sparkly star using Hannah Montana's star diecut.  I attached the Captain America to the star and ran the whole thing through the Xyron.  I cut out celebrate and ran it through the xyron.  Added a bunch of red licorice and have a fun little party bucket!  Yay!

Copics used:

Old MacDonald Mini Tag Album

This took a while to color each image and make this book.  I enjoyed making it, but if anyone else wants to make it you might want to consider purchasing the clip art (already colored) instead of the digital images.  All of the images are new recently released images at Digi My World...so, so cute.

This set has 14 different images plus all the scalloped "sentiment" words to the song.  I found out that the scalloped circle in the Elegant Edges cartridge has the same amount of scallops around the circle so i was able to cut out mats for each "sentiment".  I cut the tags out from Plantin Schoolbook and resized the tags to fit in the pockets.  If you would like to know how to make the "mini album", i've done a video for another tag mini album i've done.  It is super easy and fun!

Happiness with a bit of Fluttering- Card

I chose to do this image for this week's challenge at Bronte's and Bella's (alias Mo's)  What we were suppose to do is:
"Flowers, Flutters, Fairies, Fancy Fold...
Choose any or all..."
...I've always loved this image and felt that with the flowers and butterfly fluttering about it would work. :)

What i did:
I colored in the image and ran it through my cuttlebug using a "canvas" texture plate.  I also matted it twice once w/polka dot paper and the second with a purple border punched paper (border punch is Martha Stewarts)  I made three flourishes from my silver wired trim (Christmas stash) and added some flowers and ribbon to complete this card.

Copics used:
Skin- E51, 53, 11                    Doll skin- E53, 57, 11
Hair- E57, 79                          Doll Hair- 79

Celebrate- Happy 4th!

I made this card for 3 different challenges.  I am loving the sketches put out by deconstructed jen and this is one of her sketches that i made for her challenge.  I also made this card for the red, white and blue challenge at The Greeting Farm Fresh blog.  The image is from The Greeting Farm stamps and is called "Bree" and i think she is a sweetie!
The 3rd challenge is at a Yahoo group i belong to and it is called Something old, new.

What i did:
I used the sketch at deconstucted jen and then i color and cut out the stamped image of Bree.  I used my spiral punch for the side of the lined paper.  I punched out 3 different sized stars and used some sparkly wire trim (from Christmas) to make the flourishes.  Added a few buttons and was finished.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02

Sugar and Spice w/a Twist challenge

This card is for the Sugar and Spice challenge at Tiddly Inks Challenge blog. I couldn't get the "to make a sarcastic or humorous card" challenge part so i went with the title...and i made a "sugary" card...with a twist that there is a treat included. :)  I thought it would make a perfect "thinking of you" gift for a friend.

What i did is:
I made an envelope with my cricut and slid in a candy bar.  I colored in the image added a bit of "sugar" glitter to the hairbow and dress.  I found a similar sentiment stamp that the DT's used and went with that.  Added some ribbon and flowers with more "sugar".

Isn't this the CUTEST Pineapple digi ever...and it HAPPENS to be the freebie for a week at Digi My World!!!  I thought that this pineapple image is perfect for my daughter's favorite salad recipe.  It does have pineapple in it...and it's sooo yummy!  I used my cricut cart called "From my kitchen" to make this card.

Royalty week 3 challenge- Sweetness

Seems to be hit and miss with me and the Greeting Farm galleria :(  I will upload this card as soon as it is working again. Meanwhile, i hope you don't mind visiting my blog.

What i did:
I used the digi Sassenach Anya...she sure looks like a princess to me. :) I added a crown from another digital image i had from Tiddly Inks. (It was actually a frog's crown)  I had stitched the flourish under the flower, but faux stitched the paper strips at the bottom.  I don't remember where i got the sentiment from.  The flower was punched and dampened with water and wadded up and then i stitched a button in the center.

Copics i used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02

Get Well Greeting Farm card

I am using the card sketch at deconstructingjen and combining it with the Greeting Farm challenge.

What i did:
I used the cricut cart Indie Art for the bandaids.  The digi stamp is a combination of 2 stamps, dressy Camille and Joyce.  I also used a cartridge for the sentiment.  To get the string effect i used baker's twine.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02

Enjoy Your Day card

This week's challenge at Bronte and Bella's (alias Mo's) is to "Make a TAG and use your favorite embellishment".  I just happened to run across an awesome tag slider card video at Mollyscrap on youtube and thought i would try it cricut/gypsy style using one of Mo's digi images in place of the picture.

Copics i used to color the image:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E43, 44

Just saying, Hi- card

This was a hard challenge, at Tiddly Inks challenge blog we were to make a card, but only use one layer.  The biggest problem i have is that when i color with my copics it bleeds through, so i really need to mat or cut out what i color.  Seeing as i normally cut out my image, i thought i'd try this challenge without cutting out my image to make it a challenge for me.

What i did:
I enlarged the image and because i use Word (i need to start using my Photoshop) i had to "wrap" my png image like it was "in front of the text" otherwise it wouldn't let me drag it off the page.  (The other option would have been to cut my paper at the point i wanted the image it be cut...) I selected the "2 columns" and then I  dragged my image to the bottom of the page and enlarged the image to fit in the right hand column (my intention for putting the image all the way to the right was to try to use just one layer for the challenge...but it didn't work because of the bleeding through from the coloring.)  I also set it up this way so i could see how my card would work.  Next i searched the internet for the perfect poem to go with the image and this is what i found written by Louise Hernan.

Copics i used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- Y15,32, E34
Glasses- B04 lens- E00, 50
Dress- G20, 21 flower- R85, 81

Orange You... glad it's your birthday card

This week friday, the new freebie at Digi My World is an Orange...sooo cute.  I went with the idea of "knock, knock" jokes.  Really the second line good say anything, like Orange you... glad you graduated, or glad you passed the test, got a new job...

What i did:
I used my cricut and cut out the circle card and circle mats.  On the front i stitched baker's twine around the outside and tied it, and added a few buttons.  I used Old West cartridge font for the words.  Colored in the image using my copics and then i glued microbeads on top of the orange "skin".  I am NOT a loose glitter fan, and i would say this ranks worse than loose glitter because they are beads and roll every where...however, it is an experience everyone should enjoy, just like loose glitter. :)

Copics used:
Orange outside- Y04, Y23, YG03
Mouth tongue- E02, N0
Inside orange- E02, Y04
Inside eyes- C5
Martha Stewart microbeads- orange
Martha Stewart glittering glue

Lulu- Chinese Crested Dog paper pieced Card

At first when i saw this image, i thought, i am not sure i like this dog...and then i made her and fell in LOVE.  Not only that, but this image brings back memories of a stuffed animal my daugher had in the 80's...anyone remember the dog, "Poochie"...she loved that dog and i just found out that is why she named our dog we had in the 80's, "Poochie", i should've known!

Lulu is a brand new digital image released today, June 17th, found at Digital My World and is a series of dog images being released this summer. If you want to see what the design team is doing with these images check out the Digital My World blog.

What i did:
I printed this image about 5" tall and folded the paper over at the ears...it made a sideways fold but once it's cut out it will stand up great...if you want to display it.  I then printed the image on 2 different pattern papers and cut out the sections i wanted to make this card.  i added googly eyes and colored in some sections with my copic markers.

Perfectly Lovely Day- Card

The gallery appears to be down at The Greeting Farm today, so I am uploading my challenge to my blog.  The challenge for Farm Fresh Friday is "Body Snatching".  We can use any Greeting Farm body and mix it with any head.  I've chosen to use Fairy Tink and digi Dressy Ebony.  I really like how this turned out.  Of course i am partial to Ebony.  Tink's face is so baby like, i am going to use the other parts for another "creation".

I was also limited to the paper i had being on vacation, but because of the limitation it turned out that i used something i really liked...that i wouldn't have normally used.  The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Family Recipe Card

This week at Bronte & Bella's Challenge blog (alias Mo's) we were asked to do a "recipe" card...This is what the instructions said---

"Create a card or project with one element in this recipe. It could be an image with 2 people, an image that portrays love or a sense of humor. You could even create a card with a recipe included or something that has to do with cooking. Mo has so many images that could be used here. Especially the new cooking line. What a super cool idea to make a "recipe" card.  I have many recipes i want to share with family and this would work great. "

I thought this would be a super cool idea.  I've had recipes i wanted to share with family and thought this would be an excellent way to do that!  Of course, it doesn't hurt to have this cutie image either!

Royalty Anniversary Card

The Greeting Farm (stamps) is having a Royalty challenge for the month of June.  This is week 2 and our challenge was to be inspired by a picture of a wedding cake that had stamped images from the Greeting Farm...a rather cool idea.  From that inspiration i decided to make a wedding shaped card similar to the cake, but with a digital image from their site.
This is what i did:
I used my cricut machine and cut out the cake card from Wild Cards cart.  I welded the flowers on the top and the flourishes on the bottom layer.  I then lined the cake card with black for the accents.  I went back and cut out just the front of the card for the shadows of the top of each layer.  I colored the images using my copics.

Copics used are:
Girl
Skin- E50,51, 2
Hair- E71, 74, 59
Dress & shoes- Y15,21

Boy
Skin- E50, 51

Jacket & Shoes- C3,5, 7
Shirt- BG10

Going Goth challenge

This new image, Lilli Lolita,  just came out recently, at Tiddly Inks and i really like it.  For this challenge at Tiddly Inks, I used my cricut cartridges, Picturesque, 3 Birds-Life is a Party and Indie Art to create this card.  I gave her hair a variegated yarn look by using my copics.  I added a bit of sparkle using my Gelly roll pen.  She's cute isn't she?

Copics i used:
skin- E50, 51
Hair- B24, C3,5
Dress top & ruffle-B32, 60,C3,5 &7
Shoes- N0, C3, Gelly Roll pen

How to make this card:

Especially for you- Family recipe

I did this challenge for The Greeting Farm's Mystery Monday challenge.  We were to case a card from the gallery.  It was a fun challenge.  I used Amelia from the Just for you stamp set.  I used one of my mom's recipes on the side.  I would be able to give this to anyone in my family.

Berry Best Dad Card

Yay, it's a new week for a Fruit freebie from Digi My World.  I just LOVE this strawberry!  This digi strawberry is free for only one week starting today, June 10.
I added the "Dad" for father's day, but it could say anything, Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, Friend...

I used my cartridge, Elegant Edges to frame the strawberries.

Letters from Lucy Card

This cocker spaniel will be released today at Digi My World, June 10 in a set of cute poses along with accessories!  Her name is Lucy.  I chose to make another card about 5" tall, so i did more paper piecing, just like her friend, Lucas the beagle.  This paper has some postmarks on it so i am calling it Letters from Lucy.  She is so funny, i love her too!

I did use some copics on this, E31, C3, N0.

Challenges:
Clear it out challenge- paper piecing

Lucas, the Polka Dot Dog card

It's a new digi beagle dog set and his name is Lucas from Digi My World.  He is released today, June 10.  He comes with many other poses, but this one was one of my favorites...what can i say i loved them all!  I made this one to measure 5" tall and so i decided not to use my markers, but to paper piece this one.  the pieces are easy to cut being straight lines.

What i did:
I printed the image to one side of the cardstock.  Folded the image over at the top and cut the front and back out at the same time to make a shaped card (welded style :)  Then i printed the image 2 more times on patterned paper, i cut them out and placed them on the card base to "test" the pieces.  Then i took them off and colored in the mouth and the strip that separates the main body from the spots.  Glued the pieces back on and then shaded the pattern pieces using a Copic marker - N0.

It's Okay, I'll be there for you!

Another cutie from Digi My World.  This is an exclusive kitty image called, Oliver.  So, so adorable.  Don't you think?

What i did:
I used 3 Birds- "Life's a Party" cartridge for the circle base card and for the aqua mat.  i embossed the aqua mat using the large dotted cuttlebug folder.  Then i cut out the scalloped doilies using Elegant Edges, but instead of lining them up to match i rotated them, to give more of a "bloom" effect.
I added a bit of black baker's twine to the fold.
I colored the image using the following copic markers:
Fur E81, W3
Patches-E97, 99
Nose & eyes- N0, C3, black multiliner
Yarn- BG10, 01

Challenges i entered this card in:

Stamp something- digi day
Take Time for you- A sweet creature
Digital Tuesday Challenge- Animal friends
Tuesday Throwdown - Animals
Deconstructing Jen - Circle card

Tooth Fairy Box

I am on the "Digi My World" design team and one of the images i think is super cute is this Tooth Fairy

I came across an idea on line using a gift card tin for a "tooth fairy box", i couldn't find one that i like so for the same price, i used the paper mache  box that i found at Hobby Lobby.

What i did:
I cut out squares and corner rounded them for the top, inside top and inside bottom.  Then i border punched both sides of strip of paper and added some baker's twine to the top by taping the ends under the bordered strip.  I attached that to the top of the box.  I colored with copics the Tooth Fairy and cut her out and then used foam tape to have her stand out on top of the box.  I then typed up the words for the top and inside poem.  I cut out the "dear Tooth Fairy" and adhered it to the bottom corner of the top of the box, just under the tooth fairy.  Inside the cover i used the scalloped nestibilies to cut out the poem, i then had cut the mat..(didn't have the right size oval to diecut).  Once the poem is matted i foam taped it to the inside.  Next i hole punched the words "My lost tooth" and diecut a star, found a button and strung some of the baker's twine through it.  I adhered all of those items to the bottom of the box.

Copics used:
Skin- E50,51, 02
Hair- RV10, 63

Magical Birthday Gift

I found these cute little canvas/easels at Hobby Lobby and thought they'd make a cute gift.  Then i saw deconstructing jen's sketch challenge and thought, "ah, ha" this would work great!  What i chose to do was use the digital Alice from The Greeting Farm.  I wanted to make her look like a little girl and not so much Alice.  My daughter suggested a cupcake to go with the paper, and at first i had the mushrooms that went with Alice, but looking closer at the mushroom image, i saw a "cupcake" and used that mushroom to be my cupcake.  Yay!  I also used the digital sentiment from Pink Cat Studio. The canvas measures 2.5" x 2.5".  It would be a cute little gift for someone's desk at their office, don't you think?

What a Pear Card

The Pear is another great image from Digi my World.  I will be making a series of cards based on her fruit images.  I will stay with the Kawaii style.  For this card i again used the Elegant Edges cartridge.  i welded the "book" cover image and a rectangle to make a folded card.  I used the full circle to make the circle background.  I then lined the front of the card in red.  Added the sentiment and googly eyes to finish it.

i really like this flower it makes me happy and it has a look of fabric.  The doily is from Elegant Edges cartridge and i used a bit of red/white baker's twine.  I also corner punched the pink striped background edges with a fiskar corner punch.

These are the copics i used to color the flowers...they are identical just different sizes.
