I am really glad that this challenge at Magnolia Mania is Edwin Only..i've colored 3 different Edwin's now... and i really like him and i am glad i colored this image..he's cute!  I am also thinking that this is the color that all of the shirts should be so that when they do get muddy, it doesn't look so bad. :)

Happy Birthday Fairy Princess

I saw this card done somewhere on the internet and loved the paper they used, of course, i didn't save the card or the site and now i can't find it, arghh.  So what ever i can mentally remember seeing is what i decided to create...oh, i did purchase the paper which is what inspired me to want to make the card.  The paper is from Prima and called Fairy Belle...such pretty paper!

Happy Birthday at the Lake

This idea came to me when i went walking in the rain this week. (I did have an umbrella so i didn't get too wet).  The challenge at TOMIC is to make a card with their sketch and to use the theme, Summer vacation.  Another challenge i am using this card for is at Tilda's Town where i am to use an accessory as well.  At 7 Kids College Fund the challenge is to use a Nellie Snellen and/or Layers. One more challenge is a photo inspiration from Dutch Magnolia Lovers.

So here is the memory, my parents own a cottage on a lake and every summer our family spent our summer vacation there.  We used to have a wooden flat bottom fishing boat with oars..it was a perfect size to learn to row in...my sister is just 16 months younger than me and one of us would be on the left and the other on the right and we would row (we were probably 5 & 6yrs old... we were with my dad fishing.  There is a picture of us in our pjs with my dad in the boat...i guess we were early fishermen.  So i decided to paint the Tilda boat green just like our fishing boat and color the Tilda like she was me when i was young at the lake.

To make the boat work on this card i cut it in half and put it on each side of Tilda.  I also wrapped twine around a toothpick for a flag post and added a charm to the top of the flag post.
