This was a Photo Inspiration Card Challenge from Tiddly Inks. We are to look at the above photo of a shower curtain and make a card. I was inspired to use the border strips and to make the different layers of the fairy's dress for this challenge.

What i did was enlarge the image to about 5.5" and printed it 6 times. I colored the skin and hair. Then I cut out the specific colors for the areas i wanted to fill with paper. I border punched strips and punched out flowers using the same colors in the dress for the embellishments for the card. i also tried to make it look 3-d

Mini Magic Super Grandpa Card

My husband is going to be 60 next month and i want to surprise him with cards. I've asked family and friends to send him some cards, hoping to get at least "60" cards. This card is made for him with the help of my grandson, Ayden, who is 4.5 yr old. He wrote the greeting inside of the card. I am using this card for a Black and White challenge at the Greeting Farm challenge blog.

These are the copic markers i used. Ayden wanted me to take his picture with them.

Congrats in Black and White and bit of purple

The scrapbooking group that i belong to challenged us on NSD to use a card sketch and then to use black, white and one other color. I choose purple for my "color". (Obviously, i am a bit late getting this done)

I also made my own white flower so i could put this card in the DT Designed 2 Delight challenge.
The white flower is made from a coffee filter.

Then i went one step further and decided to use one of my favorite images from The Greeting Farm so i could use it in their Congratulations challenge.

I also wanted to challenge myself by making this image in black and white (with a bit of purple). This is my first attempt. My husband thinks it looks vintage...
I also used Craft Concepts "Wings" embossing folder.

DT's Sketch Challenge

The blogger isn't working right, so i hope this card shows up. I am missing a week's work of posts.

For this sketch challenge at the Designed 2 Delight blog i chose to use the "Lucky bird" image (catch him while you can, this one is on sale).
I thought it was perfect for a graduation card.
I paper pieced the image. Colored in the beak, clover and red dots on the boots using my copic markers.
The pink embossed clouds are from a handmade embossing folder i made. I also used red/white baker's twine, brads and nestibilities.

This card is for Karen's Doodle challenge, called "One for the Kids". I used the image "Tiger fun".
I cut the number five using the cricut cartridge, Plantin Schoolbook, Roly Poly, i had to hand cut the shadow as there isn't one for the Roly Poly. I also embossed the white part of the 5 using the larger dotted embossing folder.
My grandsons will be 5 this year and one of them loves orange, so this card is for him.

Step by Step Fancy Card- Pink & Girlie challenge

I made this card for Mo's Challenge- Pink & Girlie using "Two Jill" digital stamp.
I've given step by step instructions for making this card. I saw a similar card in a magazine and decided to give it a try...this is my version.
Make a 6 x 6 card, cut two strips 5 3/4" x 1 1/4" attach to top and bottom of card.
Cut the center floral piece 5 3/4" x 3" and attach to center leaving white space in between.
Cut another floral piece 5 1/2" x 3" and mat it in white and attach a border to one long side.
Cut yet another floral piece of patterned paper 5 1/4 x 2 1/2" mat it and then tear about 1/2" off one short side.
Place two matted pieces on card base as shown.
Cut another piece of white paper 3 1/4 x 2" and emboss and mat it and place it as shown above this will be the "mat" for your image.
Punch (or diecut) 4 sets of flowers and hole punch the centers and and add a brad to each set.
Make a flourish, i used my cricut and Accent Essentials cartridge. (Image #16). I made one image the regular direction and flipped the second one.
Add flourishes to card like this. If you have a corner flourish border it would lovely as well.
Add flowers to corner flourishes. Now you can add your image. I hand cut mine, but it could be cut into a smaller rectangle or oval.
