Modern Day Jane Austen

I know, i could be "off" on this call...but i am thinking Jane Austen, in this day and age would be quite confident and stylish...maybe she was in her era too?  I know that in her era to be a writer and a woman would ruin her reputation and if one was a writer they had to do it secretly.   So the look of this image to me, is one of confidence and maybe a bit of a "secret" behind those glasses?

This week i am making this card for Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge  DT and i  am using a new image from CC Designs...cool huh?
Here is the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches this week:

  2. Wonderful card. I especially like all of the fun, colorful DP that you've used. Super image, and that wonderful die makes a great "modern" background. Like your philosophy behind this card, too.

  3. Such a cool idea, Bonnie! Isn't it funny to think of a writer as being somehow 'low class'? (And I hide confidence, secrets, and AWESOME behind my own glasses, lol!)
