Wake Up, It's Christmas - Fairy Hugs - Polar Bear Family

I have so many cards to share this week.. but first i need to catch up on my latest cards!

I am using Fairy Hugs - Polar Bear Family

I think of my parents when i was little and it was Christmas Day.. and i wanted to get up at 4am. I think this little bear is me wanting my parent to wake up!  It's Christmas!!

So to make this card, i started out with Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - FrostFlight. I based my scene around the polar bears, so they were stamped first with VersaFine Clair Ink - Nocturne. I colored the Fairy Hugs - Polar Bear family with Prismacolor pencils.  Next i knew i wanted a tree line behind the bears and a mountain in the background.  So i used Fairy Hugs - Rugged Pines.. i stamped them with VersaFine Clair Ink - Nocturne and did some second generation stamping as well. Then i stamped the mountain peak from Fairy Hugs - 2nd Anniversary Set with VersaFine Clair Ink - Morning Mist and i colored them in with Prismacolor pencils.  Last, i used some torn paper and defined some ground/hills using Distress Oxide Ink - Chipped Sapphire and Milled Lavender.  I also purchased two additional sentiment sets and cut them apart to make this sentiment, but you could also mask off the sets and get the same result.

To create this card i started with Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - MorningWillow. I stamped Fairy Hugs - Anora in VersaFine Clair - Nocturne. Next, i stamped Fairy Hugs - Thistleberries around her looking like she was on a path. I used Fairy Hugs - 2nd Anniversary - You Are Special (mountains) in the background. I added a masked moon halo and then i stamped Fairy Hugs - Woodland Flight.  Last thing is i colored the stamps  with Prismacolor pencils and Pentel's Sparkly Gold Gel pen and added some coloring for the path and base of the mountains.

Fairy Hugs - 2nd Anniversary Special As You Are!

Catching up on a few cards that didn't make it on my blog.

I am using Fairy Hugs - 2nd Anniversary - Special As You Are

For this card,  my inspiration was the die shape.  This die is really large and is made as a "tag", i decided to turn it into a card by off setting the top cutting line above the fold of the card base. Then i cut out another full size die and glued that to the folded card base (overhanging it just a bit at the top so that it lines up with the design of the card base). Next i die cut the "scene" part of the die. (layer that fits on top of the main die).  So i took this die cut piece (to use as my scene) and started by using Distress Oxide Ink - Squeezed Lemonade in the center gradually adding Distress Oxide Ink - Antique Linen and then Distress Oxide Ink - Shaded Lilac.   Next i started stamping.  I stamped Fairy Hugs - Stone Fortress Texture as shown with VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist. I stamped the tree from Fairy Hugs - 2nd Anniversary - Special as You Are to get a "focal" point in VersaFine Clair - Nocturne. I masked off the Stone Fortress and stamped the tree again in VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist.  Next i stamped the mountain peaks from the 2nd Anniversary set with VersaFine - Morning Mist.  Now to fill in the scene, i added Fairy Hugs - Mini Hares (one hare), Woodland Flight (2 birds) and stamped the foliage from the 2nd Anniversary set in front of the larges stone wall.. all in VersaFine Clair - Nocturne. Oh, i also stamped the sentiment from the 2nd Anniversary set.  Next, i used Prismacolor pencils and colored in the stone fortress and the peaks of the mountains.   I also colored in some ground by the tree and hare. Last i used a mask for the moon and used Distress Oxide Ink - Chipped Sapphire to make a halo. To finish off the scene, i inked around the edges with Distress Oxide Ink - Chipped Sapphire.

To create this card, i started with Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - ShimmerGust.  The inked circle made it easy to create this card.  I used two stamp sets, Fairy Hugs - Janie's Marigolds and Fairy Hugs 2nd Anniversary set - Special as You Art.  I stamped the largest set of flowers on the left with VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist, then i stamped Janie in VersaFine Clair - Nocturne.  I added the single bloom under her with VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist. Next i added the leafy branch from the Anniversary Set using VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist. Next i colored in the flower blooms and Janie's dress and wings with colored pencils for black backgrounds.  To make the sentiment, i purchased two Fairy Hugs sentiments when they were on sale.  I purchased Fairy Hugs - Love at Christmas and It's Your Birthday.  I carefully cut those apart instead of masking them, so that i could create this sentiment and other combo sentiments. 

It was worth the investment and the time to cut them apart.
