I am making this card using a Mo's Digital image and a sketch from The Sweet Stop.

 

What i did:
I followed the Sweet Stop sketch above and colored and cut out the image from Mo's.   I used a MS cake cartridge for the doily and Picturesque cart for the flourish.

I Just Love you!

I always think of my grandkids when i color children.  I colored this image like one of my oldest grandchildren, who turns 5 next week.  The challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog this week is "Furry friends" and that is why i chose this image.  I also used a sketch from Creative Craft Challenge.

Happy Fall card 2- deconstructing jen style :)

The challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog is to make an Autumn project. I know i say this all the time, but LOVE Mo's images, I really do.  This one is so sweet and i think intended for a teacher, but i thought it looked like a fall type card and could still be used as a "thank you", birthday or teacher card. :)

And how i did it..
I colored and cut out the image. Followed the sketch and punched out some maple leaves. I found the free sentiment here.  I added the "pattern" to the skirt by drawing w/the black Copic multi liner.

Celebrate - Happy Dance style

When i saw that this is Mo's Challenge Blog 100th challenge i wanted to do the "Happy Dance" and this image was what i chose to celebrate this challenge.  Also, it makes a really fun Birthday card!

What i did:
I used a LO sketch to make this card.  I didn't realize that this image comes in brown instead of black so i had to think a bit differently when selecting my paper to piece this image.  I chose to paper piece the skirt and the sweater...so i printed the image 3 times, one for the base that i could color the "un-pieced" part and 2 times w/patterned paper.  I cut out the pieces colored in the image and adhered it to my card base.  I also embossed the white card base using a Sizzix embossing folder.

Boy Attitude -I am not going to tell you

My grandson is very expressive at almost 5yrs old.  He says some really interesting things.  His newest saying is, "I am not going to tell you", which really means, "I don't know"..it always makes me chuckle because i KNOW what he means, but someone hearing the conversation might not.  For example when he comes home after preschool, he talks non-stop, and then i ask specific question, like what are the names of the boys that  were at school today, and he will use his "Ayden-ism".  I've left a large space for his mom to fill in with all of his Ayden-isms.

What i did:
I enlarged the image called "Guilty Bert" i used Word and made the image "behind text" and added the words to his t-shirt. I then colored the image to look like the picture of my grandson.  I cut him out and adhered him to my LO.

All you need is a friend w/chocolate card

Yes, i saw this cute, cute image at Mo's Digital Pencil and thought,  "oh, this saying would be so cute with this image".  The image is called Chocolate Smile and i am using it for the current Sketch Challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

What i did:

I used my cricut to cut out a small envelope/pocket and adhered it to the card base.  I also made the scalloped circle using Elegant Edges cart.  I then colored and cut out the cute image.  Added a bit of floral embellishments and the sentiment to make a really fun card for my special friend!

Rae's Journal for School

The current challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog is a "Back to school" theme.  I have chosen to use Rae's Journaling.  I loved the look of this image and the other 2 images that came with Rae. 

What i did:
I purchased a small journal at Michael's in the dollar section.  It had a heart on the cover and i thought, this might work perfectly with the image i wanted to use.  I colored and cut out the image and adhered it to the center of the heart.  It could have some buttons on it...but i liked it as is.

Welcome Baby- Autograph page

Every year for my grand kids birthday i make an Autograph page.  I thought, why not make a welcome baby autograph page? Seeing as my new grandson will be born on Monday, i thought i'd do the Mo's Challenge Blog theme of "blue".  (If you check back later next week i will have his picture inside the tan rectangle)

What i did:
I enlarged the cute, cute image from Mo's and cut it out and matted it.  Then i found some freebie lollipops online and used those for balloons.  I used the black bakers twine for the lollipop balloons.  Now all that is needed is the baby picture and the autographs.

You are a Peach, Sadie!

I am entering this LO in Mo's Blog Challenge this week.  We are to make anything but a card.  In the past i've been a bit more creative, but this is the week before the grandbaby is born and i am trying to get things done a bit more quickly before i get the grandbaby's siblings over here 24/7.  I love this image it is so precious and so is my granddaughter, Sadie!  She is enjoying being outside in her backyard in these photos.  Her mom has said she is an "outside girl".

What i did:
I made a simple LO w/a digi image that i enlarged and cut out.

Hugs for you, Easel card

I love the challenges at Mo's Challenge Blog, they always inspire me.  Easel cards seem to showcase what is created.  I have been watching a person on Mo's FB that does the most gorgeous easel cards, i'd asked her if she had a blog and she said, No...it is such a shame because her cards are wonderful!  I became her "friend" on FB just because i admire her cards so much. She only does easel cards..that i've seen.

What i did:
I made the basic easel card, my square measured 3 3/4" so all the measurements were based on that size.  I cut out 2 squares one of brown and one of blue and glued them together, then i cut out 2 corner flourishes using my cricut and glued them together and then adhered them to the corners of the "frame/squares" with foam tape.  I used foam tape to adhere the frame to the card base.  I colored the cute, cute image and cut it out and used foam dots for her as well.  The border punch is EK success, the butterfly is MS punch. I used viva salmon pearls on the butterfly.

A sweet baby announcement!

I was so excited about using these images, i had been wanting to use them since i bought them.  They so remind me of my grandkids.  When this challenge to make something "sweet" came up at Mo's challenge blog and thought..."oh, sweet!", i can use these images and make my daughter's birth announcements plus there is a bit of a sweet sucker in the image!

Here is what i think about the images, Ayden, my grandson, is the boy w/the orange shirt...he likes orange and his bangs separate just like that.  He is a twin to Beckett they are going to be 5 in Oct. Beckett is non verbal/autistic and is the sweet little boy to the right...he just never wants to look at the camera...and even though this little girl has more hair than Sadie who is 2, she is very similar to my granddaughter so i colored her thinking of her as my granddaughter. :)

What i did:

The images are actually, two separate digital images, Guilty Bert and Brady & Chloe.  I cut off the sucker that the little boy was holding behind the little girl's back so that i could include "Bert" with the images.  I have used the sketch from deconstructingjen's blog.

Summer Vacation card

Ahh, the backyard pool.  My family had one and it was yellow.  Now my grandkids have one on my deck and we use it as soon as it gets warm...usually around the middle of May.  This image from Mo's Digital Pencil brings back good memories!

What i did:
This week i followed deconstructing jen's sketch...i like using her sketches...and it worked really well hiding the hose at the top.

Black and White with one Contrasting color

This week at Bronte's & Bellas (alias Mo's) the challenge is to make a black and white card with one contrasting color.  This is an image that my daughter chose from Mo's store...and i thought, how can i use an image this week and this popped into my mind...so that being said the card is made "in honor" of my daughter who took on a difficult job in April and is feeling the "brunt" of this new job lately.  She needs lots of hugs right now.  Kerri this one is for you....

What i did:
I embossed the background paper.  Then i used my gypsy and made a cluster of "hugs" words...sounds simple, but it's a lot of work using different fonts and getting them to fit in a 2 x 4" space.   I colored the cute image and cut it out.  Had my cricut cut out a scalloped circle for behind the elephant and added a bit of black and white baker's twine.

Vintage Carnival Birthday card

Bella & Bronte's blog (alias Mo's) is having a fun challenge this week where they want you to make a card that is vintage, distressed and with lace.  This fun image reminds me of summer and carnivals...and i can almost taste the cotton candy.  Wow, i'd love to have cotton candy that large!!

What i did:
I colored the image w/copics and matted and tore the edges added a bit of distressing to the whole card and to the lace and flowers as well.  I typically cut out my image, but this one had a lot of wispy lines on the cotton candy, that i didn't think would look good cut out...so i decided to paint the background w/sparkly paint. I added some baker's twine as well to the lace and buttons.

Alice in the Flowers card

This week at Mo's Challenge Blog we were asked to make a storybook inspired card.  So easy using the gorgeous images at Mo's.  I chose to use the Pencil Alice.  She is beautiful and very fun to color. 

What i did:
I purchased a book at Goodwill to use as my background, it was one of those encyclopedia storybooks that no one buys and it gets trashed in the end, this way i was able to recycle this book and will be able to  use it for many more projects.  I also used the paper flowers in the dollar section at Michaels and the little pink "buds" were from a flower pick at Michaels.  I also colored Alice using my copics.  I've been using the ranger pearl paint for embellishments.

Happiness with a bit of Fluttering- Card

I chose to do this image for this week's challenge at Bronte's and Bella's (alias Mo's)  What we were suppose to do is: 

"Flowers, Flutters, Fairies, Fancy Fold...

Choose any or all..."

...I've always loved this image and felt that with the flowers and butterfly fluttering about it would work. :)

What i did:
I colored in the image and ran it through my cuttlebug using a "canvas" texture plate.  I also matted it twice once w/polka dot paper and the second with a purple border punched paper (border punch is Martha Stewarts)  I made three flourishes from my silver wired trim (Christmas stash) and added some flowers and ribbon to complete this card.

Enjoy Your Day card

This week's challenge at Bronte and Bella's (alias Mo's) is to "Make a TAG and use your favorite embellishment".  I just happened to run across an awesome tag slider card video at Mollyscrap on youtube and thought i would try it cricut/gypsy style using one of Mo's digi images in place of the picture.

DP2 Challenge Card, How does your garden grow?

Thinking of you. I made the cloud/grass embossing folder from a cuttlebug/cricut kit. The "sun" is a shell embossing folder i just placed the paper on the "lines" to turn it into the sun. I also used tan patterned Japanese Washi tape around the embossed edges.
