Happy Birthday with Roses and Ribbon

It is so hard for me to do "real" flowers..i try and try..and i am never quite happy with them.  I think i am so stuck in a rut about "cute" that i have issues with "real".    Then because i have issues with "real" i have to find another way to be creative, sooo, i decided to go the paper pieced route..and that's what i did with this flower..i printed it about 6 times...all different colors and dp.  Oh and i did lots of texture too...embossing the card base, kraft paper and the white cardstock behind the rose.
