Every two weeks i look forward to the new release that Sami Stamps creates. This time the release is called "We Love Dad" and i've made 2 more cards using the Plain Tie Set!
The challenge at Sami's Stamps is Anything Goes with a Sami Stamp.
Please come and play, we'd love to see what you can create. Don't forget, Sami always offers a freebie so anyone can play along! To go to the Sami Stamps challenge click here.
I love this sweet whimsical image called Plain Tie Se. These two cards were made from an inspirational idea from Pinterest. The first one is pretty much the same as the idea on Pinterest using Sami Stamps tie instead, however, the second card w/the bowtie was my take using the bow tie instead of a tie. Both cards hold gift cards. These cards can be used for graduation, birthday or Father's Day.
I totally paper pieced each tie. I made the pockets from squares and just snipped the bottom corners. Then i used my sewing machine to stitch across the top and then i set it on the first layer of paper and stitched around the pocket for the "pocket" opening. The collar was a square cut in half on the diagonal. The button front was just a strip that i added buttons to. Really a fun an easy card!
Here is the fun new release:
