Owl always love you, Valentine

I wanted to make a really fancy Valentine card based on the cover of a Magnolia Ink magazine that is totally done with snowflakes.

I have been intrigued with the shaped cards i've been seeing in the Magnolia Ink magazine and wanted to give this one a try.  I used a Lifestyle layered die and it works great!

I made this card using Luvvy Owl and the owl sentiment from Digital Delights:
This image also comes in a female version and colored versions of both.
Please make sure to visit Digital Delights this week and see all of the awesome designs by our designers!

I used a LifeStyle die for the card base and first 2 layers.  Then i added a Spellbinders oval frame and scalloped oval.  On top of that i used a Cherry Lynne heart and layered it with a MS heart punch.  I also used a large doily MS heart punch and layered it with an embossed heart.  I also used a fiskars heart punch.  Flowers are from Michaels.

Copics used:

Mardi Gras- New Release

I don't often see Mardi Gras images and so i think you all are in for a treat, because this set from Digial Delights is awesome!

Check out what you can do with this Mardi Gras set of images from Digital Delights:

I went for the glossy, glitter style, just like the feel of Mardi Gras!  For this card i used Marianne Creatable background die LR0242. (Available at Dutch Paper Crafts)  I cut the card using the largest die on the fold and then cut another piece using the full die.  It is perfect for allowing the card to open!  Then i cut the next loopy layer die out of matte metallic gold and then the purple detail out of glossy metallic paper.  The last die in this set is the small square type shape in gold metallic.  To save on paper i cut the top layer die from the loopy layer in the center, seeing as the purple layer covered it up.

I hand colored the images using Copics and hand cut them out.  Added some feathers, and a gem flourish, and  a Memory Box large flourish cut from green glitter paper.

Copics used:
bear- E50, 53, 57, 37, R14, 20
green-YG01, 03, 17
purple- V01, 15, 17
gold- YR20, 21, 23, Twinklette glitter marker

Best Fishes

At Card Crafter's Circle this week the theme is "Some Like it Hot" or Summery things.  I think in America we tend to forget that right now it Australia it's pretty HOT..while we sit and freeze they are getting fried.

So with that thought we are thinking summery things and i thought "fishing" based on the sponsors images.

I created this card using the image "Fishing Note" from Floppy Latte.   I added the message to the note and i also found this "freebie" fish on line.
The little fish in the background are from the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter cut at .50 and .75.  I also used Glossy Accents to the bubbles.

Our sponsor this week is Floppy Latte:

This week at Twist of Faith our challenge is to use a sketch designed by our owner, Pauline and based on the sketch i picked the image from the sponsor...i was happy with the way it turned out because of the shape and season.

Here is my card using the image "Snowman Fence-Jolly" from our sponsor Beccy's Place:
