And the recipe is:

3 papers
2 embellishments
1 TGF image

I have made this card for this recipe challenge from the blog "Anyone for Anya":

Can you see where i added some glossy accents to the balloon and some Extreme Glitter paint to the bunny?

Definitely3 papers, and 2 embellishments and one cute bunny image...1, 2 , 3!

The sketch i used is from Splitcoast Stampers TGF Saturday Sketch Challenge:

Miss Anya Garland in style!

One of my favorite things to do is to Alter things...i've been known to do that and get some things published in my favorite magazine called, "The Altered Couture".  So when i was asked by Jessica and Marie from TGF,  if i'd be interested in creating a 3-D something for them for the CHA,  i thought it would be fitting to use my ideas for them using the January releases.  I chose to use Miss Anya Garland and make a special "Fashion scarf" just for Jessica to wear at the CHA.

What i am going to "teach" you to make:

Jessica colored this image and allowed me to use her image for this project.  It is a really fun thing to do with your images after you've colored them.  Just scan them and reduce them to the size much easier than coloring an image that is less than an 1" high. (That's what did when i first started coloring the images for jewelry lol)

Supplies needed:
MS Yarn (I purchased mine at Michaels)
Epiphany Crafts Oval punch
Epiphany Crafts Oval clear disk
TGF image
Jewelry pieces and pinback

Okay let's get started.
First you need to reduce your image to fit into the oval punch. You can hold the oval disk over the image to gauge the size, but do not remove the oval disk until we need to use it.

Now you need to put your image into the Epiphany punch and center it in the hole.  Once you do that you can place the oval disk on top of the image in the punch.  ***VERY IMPORTANT do not touch the sticky part of the disk, your fingerprints will show, hold the disk on the outside edges.

Place the insert that came with the punch on top of the clear oval disk, and close the lid and push down, just like a normal punch.  (see instructions included w/the punch)  Now you will have your own cute paper backed use on a card, on jewelry, much fun!!  You can take your images to another level...and so personal.
So what i did next was use 6000E glue (or your choice of permanent glue) to attach my charm to a piece of jewelry and then added a pin back to the piece i created.

You can wear the pin as is or add it to the yarn scarf. The yarn scarf is easy to make and i didn't follow MS instructions.

All i did was take an entire skein, take one loose end and find how long i want it to be around my neck, making sure i can pull it over my head.  Once i determine the length, i keep wrapping it around until i get to the other loose end.  I stitch the two loose ends together and then i stitch through all the other layers i wrapped so they won't come unwrapped again.  I took the pin i made and pinned it through some of the layers.  What do you think?  Fun, huh?

Let's do Lunch...i mean really!

Anyone that knows me, knows that i love to shop and of course get a bite to eat.  My type of shopping isn't the norm though, charity shops are what i love to just never know what you might find...always a new venue.  With that being said, i loved this image of Jordan "multi-tasking" from Mo's Digital Pencil and chose her for "All my favorite things"theme from Mo's Challenge Blog.

Here is my card:

My other very favorite place to go is "The Sweet Stop" blog...because their sketches are so much fun.  Here is the sketch for this week:

Baby Cakes makes 3

My nephew and his wife are expecting and i asked if they knew the gender yet.  She let me know that they've decided to wait until the baby is born, they want a "surprise".  So i know there aren't many cards out there anymore that aren't gender specific.  So i thought using the color challenge at Tiddly Inks for this card was a good one. :)

The challenge is to use these colors:

                                                             green, yellow, orange, blue

I didn't use the exact "value or hue" i can never remember which it is...but here is my card:

For this card i used a Nellie Snellen doily die, it was a gift from my friend, Jenee.  I really like it.  The cute baby image is from Tiddly Inks.

here is the sketch i used for this challenge found at the City Crafter Challenge Blog:

I love these new images by The Greeting Farm called Miss Anya Garland...there are a set of three...i chose to use the "LOVE" garland.  The challenge at TGF Farm Fresh Monday/Funday is to use doilies/lace.  I've combined this challenge w/a sketch from Sketches by Carly and a "Love" theme at Sweet Stamps blog.

Here is my card:

I used the Elegant Edges cartridge for the background doily, Sweethearts for the red doily, MS punch for the white doily.  I added some "Extreme" glitter paint to the white socks, eyelet dress edges.  I also added the Gloss accents to the "Love" banner.

Lynne's Mad Hatter 60th Birthday Party Blog Hop

I've created this card in honor of the blog hop this weekend- January 28-29th.  Her Craftiness blog is sponsoring a blog hop using the "Alice in Wonderland" theme for the hop.  It is also Lynne's 60th birthday.

Happy Birthday, Lynne!

Here is what i created using Digi My World "Mad Hatter's" stamp from the Alice in Wonderland set found here.  I also used my cricut to cut out the cup and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment.  I used a real tea bag and emptied the tea out to the bottom and cut off the paper tab and replaced it with a heart punch and sentiment.

Valentine, Friendship card

It is Card Crafter's Circle Challenge #7 and the theme is "Feel Good w/a Friend".  The cat and bird in this image are Friends. :)  The sentiment says, "Friends come in all Shapes and Sizes".

This week our sponsor is Happileigh Stampin' and the prize for this week is all of the digi images you see on the Design Team's cards.  Check it out here.

Here is the card i created using one of the "prize" digital images.

What i did:
I colored and cut out the image.  I paper pieced the rug and colored the strip around the rug and shaded it.  I used this really cute sketch at "I (Heart) 2 stamp"

Happy 3rd Birthday, Sadie (a whole month+ earlier)

I just made my granddaughter's birthday card.  She will be 3 on March 5th.  Even though her mom had hoped to not do pink or purple, it has become some of Sadie's favorite colors...and she doesn't really play with Barbies to even get that idea.  She also loves sparkly i colored this image's hair and clothes and used pink on the card just for my Little Miss Sadie!

Did i say i LOVE the new little girl and bear images at Digi My World?  Well, I DO!

This one is called Megan and comes w/balloons, a sentiment and 4 images.  I love her!

This is the sketch i used for the card, it is from deconstructingjen.

Have a Doggone Happy Valentine's Day!

Ah, you guessed it i used a doggie for my next Valentine's card.  Not just any doggie, one that looks just like my son's and his wife's dog, named Daisy..this doggie has a name on his collar...he is actually called "Spike". :)

My "grand-dog" Daisy

For this challenge at Mo's Challenge blog the theme is "stitching" and it can be real or faux.  I also used the sketch from Seems a Little Sketchy.  I always try to share the sketch from the sketch blogs so you can "see" how i did the sketch and to encourage others to try it as well.

I have a FB friend that does Mo's images and makes adorable cards.  She had used this sentiment with a Mo's dog for a Christmas card she did and i've been saving her idea to use for another challenge.

Here is my card:

Ha, Ha, Ha...this image makes me smile every time i see it.

Happy Valentine's Day for a pregnant mommy.

I've made this Valentine in honor of my friend, Aga.  She is currently pregnant and was talking about eating and being pregnant and said this quote in connection with that.

I thought it was so cute that instantly the image at Saturated Canary came to mind.  For their challenge i need to add die cuts/punches.  The two gray borders are from the cartridge Elegant Edges. The heart is a punch and the heart doily is a MS punch.

I wasn't really sure about the Valentine sentiment but wanted to meet the "non-traditional Valentine" challenge at "The Sweet Stop".  Then i thought about it and thought, that if someone bought a box of candy and this card it would be perfect. :)

As always, pretty much all of my cards go to my Etsy shop here.

You Rock, Valentine- TGF style

One of the challenges at TFG- Farm Fresh Monday/Funday is to "Get Sentimental" and use a sentiment...well, could i just simply make a sentiment card..nope..i saw this awesome card in the Magnolious Ink magazine from the spring issue and wanted to make my own version for Valentine's Day.  Needless to say, i went to a crop hoping to get many cards done and walked away with just this one and then i had to add more once i got home.  I  mean really?
So here is the front of the card (it is a gatefold card):
And when you open it...this is what is inside:
I had a lot of fun making it, but gheesh...a whole day.
