My granddaughter, Sadie has a birthday coming up.  I decided to use this cute image from "The Wonderful World of Alica Bel - Fairy for her card!

 Not a planner fan??  You can add your paperclips to your cards or projects like i did below (upper right hand corner):

Tutorial:
1. Figure out the size you want your paper clip topper to be.
2. I like to back my paper clip toppers, so i make the reverse image.
It is easy to do when you have a digital pre-colored printable image!
(You can just use a circle behind it as well..if you don't want the reversed image)
2. Once you have the size figured out, just copy/paste it. Then i use the tool to flip an image horizontally.
3. I hand cut out these images..and even small, they aren't bad because they do not have a lot of detail on the outside lines.
4. Glue the paper clip down and add the reversed image to the back adding more glue to sandwich them together.
5. To make them a bit more durable, i used glossy accents or clear Mod Podge dimensional glue.
6. "Advanced techniques". On a few of the images i used a art knife/blade to cut under the paws before i glued the reversed back on so that they can hold a tiny sentiment or message. If you add the glossy accents, you will want to make sure you can pull the paw up before it dries. Another tip is to add acetate to the top of the images. I just use packaging and cut it into tiny strips. I place the acetate down when i put the paper clips on.. and then i put the reversed backs on. You can place anything on the acetate. I used the acorn from the owl and i punched a snowflake for the penguin.
