My favorite Mo's image & step by step challenge #5

Oh my was this easy to pick Mo's favorite image...ha, ha, ha...I don't have a favorite because i LOVE them all!!  So i picked one i had printed off that i wanted to make using paper that looked like Christmas wrap.  So my card this time has a story.  This little boy was so excited to use his "Christmas" box as a car after he opened his gifts.  I also thought the saying could say, "Over the river and through the woods".

(btw i believe the card below is a card from a Mo's DT member, but i am not sure who?) I used the card below as my inspiration to make my card with the boy in the box.  Isn't this a lovely card?

Here is my card and the step by step to make it:
Supplies needed:
5.5 square card base
4.75 x 3" (holly leaves paper)
3.75 x 2.75" (red stripe)
1.5 x 5.5" (green print paper)
3.75 square (brown mat)
3.5" square image
Embellishments- brads. "candy" diecuts/or flowers

1. After cutting out your pieces, turn corners over on the green print and stripe paper as shown.
2. Adhere pieces as shown to cardbase
3. Mat your image as shown and add brads, i ended up only using 3 because i used an embellishment in the bottom right corner.
5. This is what your card will look like before embellishments/sentiment.  To make my image i colored and then paper pieced the "box" to look like Christmas wrapping paper, then i used the same paper for the card background.

  1. This is just the cutest, Bonnie! I love the traditional colors and the 'gift-wrapped' cardboard box! The little candy embellishments are perfect! Glad you joined us in Mo's Challenge.
