Lavinia World - Mermaids Under the Sea Wall Art

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!!
It’s time for a new Lavinia World Challenge featuring Lavinia stamps.
We are a bi-weekly Challenge Blog and the theme will be Anything Goes using stamps
(either rubber or clear, but no digi stamps).
Details are found under the "rules" tab on the Challenge Blog.

 Lavinia World Challenge has a
NEW Facebook group called, Anything Lavinia (click here
another place where you can enter the Lavinia World Challenge.
With one exception...

Your card/project must include anything Lavinia (stamps, papers)
if added to the Anything Lavinia Facebook group.

For my project, I used
Lavinia Stamps - Zelith LAV616
Lavinia Stamps - Althea LAV617
Lavinia Stamps - Marine Kelp LAV625
Lavinia Stamps - Sea Creatures LAV170
Lavina Stamps - Mini Crown LAV622
The stamps were all stamped with VersaFine Clair - Nocturne

For the background i did a water technique on Digital Paper using:
I also using We Are 3 Digital Paper - Watercolor Strokes available in Lavinia World Store
You can watch how i did this technique in Lavinia World YouTube Video here:

After the video besides Lavinia Stamp - Zelith,  i added a few things:
and embossed with Nuvo clear embossing powder.
Next, i added some foliage Lavinia Stamps - Marine Kelp.  I stamped the foliage in Distress Oxide - Dusty Concord and embossed it with Nuvo clear embossing powder.
Now for the cute little seahorse found in the Lavinia Stamps (set) - Sea Creatures.  I stamped him, but did not emboss him because i wanted to add the Lavinia Stamps - Mini Crown to his head.
I wanted to add a bit more character to the design so i used a Memory Box die to the upper right corner.
I added some Fairy Hugs - Orchid to some score tape on white cardstock and burnished it.
Then i placed the glitter under the die cut out.
I added some pearls to the mini crown and i was finished with this design.

But wait a minute, i wanted to put it on a wooden word wall hanging.
so i got some kraft paper and tore the edges and then i used some black wax to make it look burnt.
I used mod podge to attach the kraft paper to the wooden wall hanging (covered up the words) and then used score tape to add the mermaid project on top.
To finish off the design i got some of my saved seashells and a bit of fishing net and glued them on.
Do you want to know a way i learned to cover up glue?  Shake a bit of glitter on the glue as it's drying.
I used my favorite glitter, Fairy Hugs - Pixie Dust!

  3. Hi Bonnie. I know this is last minute, but life took over the last few weeks and I'm struggling a little to get it back on track :-) You know under the sea scenes are my absolute favourite so you can image how this gorgeous card is right up my alley. I love everything about it, including that little rascal seahorse that stole Althea's crown. You see hear her asking him to give it back :-) Love it, Bonnie! Hugs ~ Lena
