Tutti Designs - 490 Love Floral and 216 Stitched Nesting Hearts

For this card, i did an inlay designs. First i cut out the Banner from a piece of Gel Print paper i made. Then i positioned the Love Floral on top of it and cut it out. I saved that piece for another card. Then i cut out a copper glitter paper from the Love Floral and inlaid it into the cut out banner. You can see that i didn't put the negative pieces back in for the letters. So now you can totally see the cream paper behind. I thought that showed the sweet birds better that way. Next i cut out a mirrored copper heart and a cream heart a bit smaller. I also cut out 2 more copper mirrors hearts from the smallest die. Now for positioning it on the card base layer, i made sure that the cream showed through the letters. If you look really close, you can see the stitching from the background cream heart.. that is how close this layering went. Next i layered up the design as shown on the card. I felt it need a bit more at the bottom of the card so i cut a thin strip of mirrored copper paper. I also added a gem to the hanging love heart.

Tutti Designs - 490 Love Floral

Sending a bit of Love!

So i saw this card on Pinterest that die cut out a section of their die and then replaced it with the full cut out. So i gave it a try!

(I also saved the partially white cut out and used it on my previous Love card i blogged)

Soooo, what i started with is Tutti Designs - 214 Stitched Nesting Banners and cut it out from white cardstock. Then i placed Tutti Designs - 490 Love Floral at the top (long side of the banner) as shown. I embossed the white banner with a dotted embossing folder. Next i cut out a larger banner to put behind the white banner. For the Love die, i used a piece of paper that i made from a gel print. Now just like a puzzle, i put the "pink" Love die cut into the cut out section of the white cardstock banner. You can see that i did not keep the negative pieces of the pink or white die cut so that the background banner (cream) could show through.

Now for a bit more tricky part.. i cut the Tutti Designs 636 Heart Frame twice to layer behind the banners and on top of the first layer of cream paper that is on the card base. I wanted more of a continuous look so i trimmed back the two layers so it "looks" like they are one piece. Not so tricky when you can see what i mean.
