Oh Snap! I forgot your birthday!

I missed last weeks Tuesday's challenge..i thought i had another day, just means i could already make the one for next week.  So now i am ahead.  Yay!
I've had this TGF stamp in my collection for a while and i've been dying to color her up..and i had out my Crate paper for the last TGF card i made and so i got lazy and just used this pad too.   I LOVE this paper..and it will be gone soon!

This is my card:
I've made a YouTube video for this one too...it will be loaded after i make this post.  I am sure i've seen this sentiment somewhere, but i don't know where?  The Challenge for this card was a color combo, Pink, Yellow and Aqua... well, Turquoise (thank goodness for spell check!)  I was excited to find the Tim Holtz film strip "ribbon" at Michael's and i got to use my 40% off too.  I used "nailhead" stickers for the "brads".   I also lined the film strip ribbon with coordinating paper.

Mother's Day or Happy Birthday?

The Greeting Farm has released a new set of "Beans"...hee, hee..  Actually, they have released a new set of rubber stamps called "Wonderland Beans".  They are a limited edition stamps set...that can be purchased individually.  They are only available this month, and in some cases the stores that bought the release from TGF only have the one allotment and then they are gone.  This is the first set of "Beans" on rubber instead of acrylic..i believe?  They are SO adorable and the one i am using is called "Hatter Bean".  I think this one is very versatile and perfect for Mother's Day.

Here is my card:
I've made a YouTube video showing how i put this card together..and for that benefit i will put some info here.  The die i used to make my card is LifeStyle Nesting Die Frame 8 found here.  The paper i used is Crate Paper by Maggie Holmes.

Marianne Design Creatables Floral release Wedding Style

The Marianne Design dies were released last year, however, they are just being "released" at Dutch Paper Crafts as a "collection" of dies.  A great bundle really!

I wanted to show you what you could make with these dies plus a few other supplies.

Here are the Marianne Design dies from the collection (and then i will share the other dies and supplies i used):

LR0248

LR0249

LR0250

LR0251

 Other dies that i used:
Nellie Mulit Frame Die

MFD047 "Oval-4"

Floral
Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder set EF0001 I used the one on the left
The card i made is an invitation and is a tri-fold card with a window.  I used the Nellie's die to make the window and frame.   I also used the Nellie's die to make the "Save the Date" magnet.  I use the thin magnetic sheets found at the hardware store that are used to cover floor vents.   The iridescent paper i used is Coredinations "Pearl" 8.5x11.   The stamp i used is from  Stamping Bella and is called,  Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda get married #EB237

Vase or Wedding Centerpiece using Vinyl

You know i love new techniques..and i've been thinking about the sticky-back vinyl that Cricut released some time ago...and how i could use it.  It dawned on me that ANY die would be awesome with this technique.
So when i received this new release from Dutch Paper Crafts...i envisioned using these dies on glass...and then i thought of a vase because of Valentine's Day, but also because it could be used for a Wedding...or quite frankly..as a Shabby Chic decoration.  Once i started playing with it, i noticed that it would be awesome on glass cupboards too.

So here is what i made, but before i get too far..i must tell you to save the backing from the diecuts because i will be using it on another project in another post!!

I have used Marianne Creatables dies:
LR0250 and LR0249
I did a trick though...i cut out LR0250 (the die with the flower facing the front) and then i cut out 2 of the LR0249, but for one of them i cut it out in reverse.  How did a cut it out in reverse? Instead of the die being on the right side of the vinyl i put it on the back side of the vinyl to get the reversed die cut.  I didn't plan on "embossing" the vinyl so it doesn't matter if i do this.

The vases look really pretty just like this..you could add some glass marbles and a rose bud for Valentines and it would be a lovely gift..or fill the vase with Valentine M & M's and add a handmade paper flower.

Now for for more fun, i added a battery operated tea light to get a romantic affect or a great idea for a Wedding Centerpiece.   The vases were at Micheals and the flowers in the dollar bin.

Get Well soon with Tilda

I've seen a project like this in a previous Magnolia Ink magazine and really wanted to create my own version and the opportunity to make this happened when i received this new Marianne Creatables die release from Dutch Paper Crafts.

For this project i recycled a medicine bottle and added paper backing and embellished it with the dies from this release.  This would be a great gift for someone not feeling well to cheer them up.  It is perfect for M & M's or Jelly Bellies.  I used Marianne Creatables LR0248 and cut it out twice.  I did do a little snipping on the second die i cut out.

What i did is snip the large flower from the flourish and add it to the top of the bottle cap.  No problem using the rest of the flourish on the right side of the bottle.

Some other dies that i used are:
Doo Hickey "Scalloped Stitch" #58
Spell binders Classic oval and scalloped oval.
Spell binders- Floral oval #S4-356
Spellbinders- Classic circle and scalloped circle for the bottle top.
Copics used for Nurse Tilda:
skin- YR000, 00, R14, 20
hair/shoes/bottle- E50, 53, 57
first aid symbol/stripes- R35
dress/socks- B000, 00, 02
needle- C1

Tilda's Coaster Calendar

One of the most used items on my desk is a coaster calendar i made for myself.   It shows the month at a glance... i love it..and it's really easy to make.

I made this calendar for my 3rd  release at Dutch Paper Crafts.  I am using LR0250 and LR0249. ..but wait a minute...i just used these same dies in another post i made..and guess what?  I am using the backings from the vinyl die cuts i made from the vase i decorated.  You could almost say i am going "green" reusing the backings.

Here is my Coaster Calendar, on the front i used one of the LR0249 and i flipped it upside down and added some pearls.  I also used 3 spellbinder dies.  The classic oval, classic scallop and the Floral oval #S4-356. At the bottom i used a Doo Hickey border die called Scalloped Stitch #58. The stamp is a "free" stamp that comes with the current Magnolia Ink magazine (I am calling that puppy a "baby" Buddy, in honor of our Dutch Paper Crafts owner's dog):
For the inside of the Coaster calendar i used a Memory Box die called the Mini Shopping Bag MB98415 and the Marianne Creatables die LR0250 (the vinyl backing) and then i used LR0251 and cut it out of a shimmery off white paper to accent the blue vinyl backing. (Both dies are from this new release at Dutch Paper Crafts)  Oh, and one more die, from Cheery Lynn called Lace Corner- Deco J - B175,  (again available at Dutch Paper Crafts coming in a new release) i trimmed the sides off and added it to the front of the mini paper bag.  The sentiment is something i made on my computer using two fonts called "Before the Rain" and "Cambria".

For the calendar side of the project.  I used a Do Hickey die called Dream Tag #28 and another Marianne Creatables LR0249 (from this release) on it's side.  The calendar is a freebie that i shrunk from Pinterest...type in "calendar" and it should come up in Pinterest.
The full view of the inside:
What's nice about this calendar..is that i can set on your desk and if you have a desk where people can see the back side of your desk..then the Tilda will show and you can view the calendar.  There is a enough space to add a tiny picture next to the bag of flowers. :)

Copics used on Tilda w/Puppy:

hair- E50, 53, 57
