Coke Soda Bottle Christmas Reindeer gift

Found this super cute idea on Pinterest to make Soda/beer bottles into Reindeer.  I thought it would be cute to make them using the Christmas Coke bottles.

Supplies/tools needed:
Glue gun for pom pom nose
Scissors
Ribbon
Brown Pipe Cleaners
Googly Eyes (i used the sticker version)
Red Glitter Pom poms

What i did:
1. Bend pipe cleaner in half to find the center.  Cut 2- 2 1/4" pipe cleaner pieces for the antlers.  Wrap the 2 1/4" pieces at the end of the pipe cleaners to  create the antler look...you only need to twist it around once.
2. Wrap the finished antlers around the top of the bottle just under the bottle cap with the "center" (you found in step one) in the front where you want to put your eyes/nose.
3. Attach eyes just under the cap, and then hot glue the nose under the eyes.
4. Cut a piece of ribbon 10" long..i used 1/2" ribbon, if your ribbon is wider you might have to add more length.  You could also use cut fleece to make it look like a scarf.  Tie this ribbon under his nose.
5.  Ta da you now have a Christmas Coke Reindeer..what do you think?  I am using this gift to go w/gift cards this year.

Chick Love

I thought this card had a fall and yet a spring look to it and thought i'd share this one.  I used "Chick Love" and it can be found here.

Alice "Eat Me" Christmas gift

I am making some Christmas gifts and this is a little candy jar w/a tag.  I used the Alice from TGF Wonderland digital set.  I've colored her in her "Christmas" dress.  I followed the sketch from the TGF Farm Fresh blog shown below:

How i did this:
I made a tag using the Heritage cartridge, changed out the hole at the top to fit the bottle i used and then i welded the letters on the tag.

You make life Sweet gift

I love to do challenges and this week at Mo's Challenge Blog, My Craft Spot and Stamp and Create  the challenge is to make a "fancy fold" or easel card.  I went one step further and adhered my "fancy fold" card to the top of a jar to make it a gift.  I chose to do the circular easel card.

What i did:
I used my cricut to cut out the circular card base, doily, scallop and green circles.  I embossed the green circle with the "Merry Christmas" embossing folder and sanded it.  I used the cute, cute elf from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I also wove the tulle in the scallop loops.

Victorian Christmas card

This card is inspired by the image from Tiddly Inks.  The image is called Priscilla and found here.   I've also used a sketch from The Sweet Stop shown below.

This is what i did:

How i did this card:
I embossed the background behind the image using a dry embossing sizzix folder.  I punched the "lace" border using a MS punch and added some silver accent found at Michaels.  The sentiment is a freebie found here.

Congrats- Wedding

A challenge this week at TGF Farm Fresh challenge blog is not use any store bought designer paper.  I am figuring that means patterned paper?  So with that thought this is what i did using the sketch at Random Acts of Creativity.  This card is available here at my etsy shop.

This is the sketch i used that was shown on Feline Playful for today 11/12/11:

This is what i did:
I cut the blue base in half and embossed it using a Craft Concepts embossing folder.  I then lightly inked the raised image with white ink.  Added a ribbon to the center of the card and attached a tag that i made out of vellum.  I embossed the vellum using a dotted dry embossing folder and then i used some stickles to  make it sparkle.  Added a ribbon to the top of the tag and a sentiment cut from the Cindy Loo cart.  I also used an EK success punch for the bottom of the tag.  Image used is Kissy, Kissy digital stamp from TGF.

Random Acts of Creativity- Sketch

Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Hi, I've been inspired by this image and a blog post with a Thanksgiving centerpiece that my friend, Jenee, shared with me.  The image i used is called "Thanks Squared" and can be found here.

What i did:
I printed the image 3 times once using white cardstock, metallic brown cardstock and metallic red cardstock. I cut out the image and decided not to use the "thanks". I stamped the white cardstock turkey image using a "letter writing" stamp. Then i colored in the beak, and striped feathers.  I added a dotted colored background.  Next i paper pieced the turkey and feathers.

Using my cricut i cut out various leaves and an acorn and a lattice band.  I took out my battery operated candle and a glass plate i had purchased at a charity shop to use for a craft.  I decorated the lattice band with the turkey and leaves.  Then i flipped the plate upside down because the base was the perfect size for my candle.  I added the leaves and acorns on the plate.  No worries about the candle catching the paper on fire using the battery operated one.
