The Greeting Farm Fashionista 2011 challenge

This challenge is like playing Project Runway but in paper. I loved this project it would have been nice if i'd have read the blog before this morning at 10am.. LOL. The challenge was to take any Greeting Farm stamp/image and make a "fashionista statement"  I chose to use two stamps and combine them.   I used Blushing Babette and Sasha from the Creepin kit.  And this is what i came up with...

What i did was:
Colored and cut out the two images and then pieced Babette's hair onto Sasha.  Then i diecut the purse using Forever Young cartridge and added some embellishments.

A BRAND NEW challenge Blog starts this week at Digi My World!

Woo HOO, did you hear...there is a NEW challenge blog starting at Digi My World.  Check it out!  I made this card for the challenge...and it is ANYTHING GOES using their images only.  This is the image i used and you can find it here. (It comes as a digital image and as clip art)

This is what i did:
I printed off the ice cream cone 3 times and colored them with my copics.  Then i cut them out.  I adhered them to a diecut base that i cut from Elegant Edges cartridge.  I used a little stickles for the ice cream.  The word sweet is cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge.

Birthday Boy card

Hi there...I've been itching to use this digital image since it came out and the opportunity has arisen... This image is from TGF and is called Chibi Farm Helper.  My dad is turning 81 in October and i think this would be a fun card for him.  He likes to garden and is just an all around great guy, i think!

Here is what i did:
I used deconstruting jen's deconstructed sketch and colored/cut out the digital image.

New Freebie at Digi My World...the letter "G" is available until Friday!

I am a bit behind on making my project for the letter of week.  We had a grandbaby born last week Monday and i am trying to catch up.  The letter this week at Digi My World is "G" and i think i made a "Ggr8" card. LOL

What i did:
I used the clip art instead of the digital image, which is cool because both of these are "FREE" and you should snatch yours before this Friday when the letter "H" is "FREE".  I used my Calligraphy cartridge for the banner.  Then i used some twine/cotton packaging string and some stickers/ brads for this card.

Rae's Journal for School

The current challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog is a "Back to school" theme.  I have chosen to use Rae's Journaling.  I loved the look of this image and the other 2 images that came with Rae.

What i did:
I purchased a small journal at Michael's in the dollar section.  It had a heart on the cover and i thought, this might work perfectly with the image i wanted to use.  I colored and cut out the image and adhered it to the center of the heart.  It could have some buttons on it...but i liked it as is.

 Challenges-

Whatcha Reading- Bookmark

The current challenge at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is to make a Back to School bookmark.   I've chosen to use the "Whatcha doing" image.  (I seem to be in a rut because i use this image A LOT, but then i really like the versatility of this image).  Instead of using the saying, that came with the image, i used my cricut and cut out "reading" instead of "doing". :)

What i did:
I used a tag from Picturesque cartridge.  I backed the image with paper and then cut it out.  I attached the image to the top of the tag and added the saying.

Welcome Baby- Autograph page

Every year for my grand kids birthday i make an Autograph page.  I thought, why not make a welcome baby autograph page? Seeing as my new grandson will be born on Monday, i thought i'd do the Mo's Challenge Blog theme of "blue".  (If you check back later next week i will have his picture inside the tan rectangle)

From this ...

to that...   Welcome Baby Emmett!
(not everyone has signed yet..)

What i did:
I enlarged the cute, cute image from Mo's and cut it out and matted it.  Then i found some freebie lollipops online and used those for balloons.  I used the black bakers twine for the lollipop balloons.  Now all that is needed is the baby picture and the autographs.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E31
T-shirt/diaper- B41, Colorless Blender
Bottle- B41, 34, E41, B000, Colorless Blender

New Freebie at Digi My World...the letter "F" is available today!

I made this card using the freebie available this week Friday, August 19 at Digi My World.  I used the clip art but it is also available as a digital stamp.

What i did:
The card is from Create a Critter cartridge and i welded the bowl together to make a card.  I hid the lines for the back of the card to make it solid.  I cut the water out of handmade paper.  This week i cut out the image and the letters.  I also made it a "sliding" card, by putting a stripe behind the slit and having my "tag" have extensions on the bottom so it couldn't come out all the way (like an upside down "T".)  I covered up my "mechanics" by lining the inside front cover.

A tiny canvas card measuring 2.5 x 2.5".  I am using Tiddly Inks "Lilli Claire- Did You Hear" digital image and making this card for Tiddly Ink Blog's challenge theme..."Inch my Way Along".

What i did:
I used a card sketch and colored and cut out the digital image.  I did a lot of distressing on this card/canvas.  I think this canvas/card would make a great office/desk gift.  With a little container of Blue, Pink and Cream jelly bellies...well, i'd like it anyway. :)

You are a Peach, Sadie!

I am entering this LO in Mo's Blog Challenge this week.  We are to make anything but a card.  In the past i've been a bit more creative, but this is the week before the grandbaby is born and i am trying to get things done a bit more quickly before i get the grandbaby's siblings over here 24/7.  I love this image it is so precious and so is my granddaughter, Sadie!  She is enjoying being outside in her backyard in these photos.  Her mom has said she is an "outside girl".

Sending you all my wishes for your Birthday

This week at the Greeting Farm Fresh challenge Blog, our challenge is to pick our favorite color and make a card and at the Birthday Sundaes we are to add at least 3 brads.  I chose to combine the two challenges into one.  My absolutely favorite color is brown, but because i am not to fond of that for a dominate color on a card,  I chose my next favorite color which is red...don't know why i like red, nothing in my home is in red...but i do like the color.  I think i am a neutral sort of gal overall.

What i did:
I saw this awesome card on MFT blog and saved it to case one day and today is the day.  The person who made the card i cased is Sara Gough.  I changed it a bit.  I colored my image called "Stella" at the Greeting Farm with copics and cut it out.  I also paper pieced the dress and added sparkle to the heart locket by using my Gelly Roll pen.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E34, 37, 29
Envelope- R32, 35

Thank you for a teacher purse

This is the second purse i've made this month and i guess i am on a role...i love this purse as a gift for anyone, but i made it purposefully for the Tiddly Ink's challenge- "Thank you, Teacher".

What i did:
I made a "backpack" diecut from Sesame Street Season's cartridge.  I hid the slits for the backpack straps and hole punched the top for a ribbon handle instead. I also hid the actual straps so they wouldn't be cut out.  I also made a "crayon" box miniature size (used Tags, Bags Boxes and More cartridge) for inside of the purse for a greeting.  And as you can see there is plenty of room for someone's favorite candy or treat...for a "Sweet teacher".  I color and cut out the Minnie image from Tiddly Inks and added some glossy accents to her glasses.  Stitched on some rick-rack and button.  This was a fun project!

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51
Behind glasses- E41
Hair- E33, 37, 29
Dress & Flowers- YG01,03, B24, RV23

I've created my 3rd tween digital image from Digi My World.  This girl's name is Emma, and the digital image is a "Happy Birthday" theme and can be found here.

What i did:
I followed the deconstructed sketch at deconstuctingjen and will be entering this card in her challenge.  I also colored the image using my copics and those are listed below.  Sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51, 02
Hair- E42, 29, 49

Greeting Farm's Cheeky Beauty's purse card

This week at the Greeting Farm Challenge Blog, the Fresh Friday's challenge is to make a card with a fancy fold and to use an older image.  I chose to make a purse card using Cheeky Beauty.  I also decided to make an inside "pocket" and slipped in a small card/tag with the sentiment.  Now i am thinking this purse could be filled with goodies (jelly bellies, m & m's, any yummy candies) or the purse could hold some 2 x 3" photos.  It would be so cute on an office desk or to give someone in person...as a little "thank you" instead of a birthday.

What i did:
I used Sesame Street Seasons cricut cartridge and made the backpack i "hid" the slits for the backpack straps and also hid the backpack strips, but for a teacher it would be cute to include those.  I also then made 2 holes at the top of the purse for the handle and tied ribbon through the holes.  Next i stitched the gathered eyelet lace around the front of the purse flap.  Colored in my image of Cheeky Beauty, i cut her out, but before i cut her out i glued her to some paper and cut them out together...because my copic coloring shows through the back i wanted to hide it with a backing paper, because the back of her head shows in the back.  I added my embellishments (flowers, button w/a pearl and a ticket sentiment). For the inside pocket i made a small crayon box from Tags, bags boxes and more cartridge.

Copics used:
Skin- E50, 51. 02

Hugs for you, Easel card

I love the challenges at Mo's Challenge Blog, they always inspire me.  Easel cards seem to showcase what is created.  I have been watching a person on Mo's FB that does the most gorgeous easel cards, i'd asked her if she had a blog and she said, No...it is such a shame because her cards are wonderful!  I became her "friend" on FB just because i admire her cards so much. She only does easel cards..that i've seen.

What i did:
I made the basic easel card, my square measured 3 3/4" so all the measurements were based on that size.  I cut out 2 squares one of brown and one of blue and glued them together, then i cut out 2 corner flourishes using my cricut and glued them together and then adhered them to the corners of the "frame/squares" with foam tape.  I used foam tape to adhere the frame to the card base.  I colored the cute, cute image and cut it out and used foam dots for her as well.  The border punch is EK success, the butterfly is MS punch. I used viva salmon pearls on the butterfly.

Copics i used:
Skin- E50 (finally refilled my marker), 51, 02
Hair- E31, 33

Sweater- B41, 34

Gellin' Princess Crown card

This was  a GREAT challenge at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.   I've not make a gel window card before...and did i learn A LOT! LOL

1. You do not use Hair Glue instead of hair gel (glue is opaque)
2. Sanitizer works as well as hair gel
3. If your window is odd shaped and so is your card, the rectangle gel baggie will stick out of the shaped card and you will have to be creative to tuck it down in.

What i did:
I cut out the card shape with my cricut, but instead of having the "stencil" cut inside of the crown, i used the layer as the cut inside of the card for my gel window.  I cut out half of the inside of the card so it would match up as the gel bag liner.  i had to reverse the image to make it fit inside AND i put the image as far over to the side of my mat as i could so that only the reversed front side of the card would be cut out.  I colored my image using my copics and then i cut it out.  i saved the reversed inside cut out for the inside of my card and stamped it with a sentiment to show through my gel window.   Making the card this way i'd rate making this card as an 8 with 10 being the hardest.

Copics used:
Skin- E53, 00, 02
Hair- C3,5,7
Outfit- B41, 34, RV10, 11, G000, G02
Wings- N0, Gel roll pen

Neapolitan Birthday Card

This card is made for a Birthday Sundaes challenge and the WOW challenge at The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog.

What i did:
I followed the sketch at TGF FF challenge blog almost exactly and thought, this background looks like a slice of Neapolitan Ice Cream..so i chose Cupcake Anya for my image to go with the theme.  I also enlarged her cupcake for the embellishments.

Copics used:
Skin- E53, 00, 02
Hair- C3,5,7
Outfit/red- R22, 24, 29

Butterflies shaped 3-D cards

Hi again, it's me Grandma Bonnie sharing my latest cards using the 3 butterflies digital images from the SNB store.  There is a set of 3 butterflies and one sentiment.  I've chosen to use just 2 of the 3 butterflies. Click here to find them.

What i did:
First, enlarged the butterflies and printed them off by putting them as far down on one sheet of paper as i could.  The reason for that is i wanted to make a card and i needed to fold the paper in half. I then cut out the butterfly, making a folded card.  I used the same image again and printed it off.  I colored both images, i didn't put as much shading on the card base because i am going to attach another butterfly on top to make it 3-d.  I gathered up some tulle and placed it between the card base and the top butterfly.  I used my machine and stitched through the top card base, tulle and the top butterfly.  I added some stickles to the small circles on the butterfly.  I used pipe cleaners for the butterfly body.  I curled one antenna and measured to the bottom of the body and wrapped the pipe cleaner around until i got to the top of the head, allow some extra pipe cleaner for the other antenna and cut off.  I sewed a button on for the head.  Next, i used hot glue to attach the pipe cleaner body.
