I have made this project for Dutch Paper Crafts. This new release at Dutch Paper Crafts is for Memory Box Drop Ornament #98378 (the ornament base), Emma ornament #9841 (snowflake die) and Collette ornament #98379 (loopy ornament that my granddaughter made).
Here is my finished ornament..and the instructions follow:
Also used on this ornament is DooHickey's Poinsettia die #DOOH16 and Martha Stewarts holly punch #M232316
Magnetic sheets were purchased at Home Depot/Lowes and are register vent covers. They are thin enough to be cut with a die...and have the strength to hold on without slipping.
My 3.5yr old granddaughter made a simple one using the cuttlebug:
First we cut a small piece of magnetic vent cover to fit the base die, and then she runs it through the machine, then she cuts out the base in red and ran it through the Xyron (large size), we adhere the red to the top of the magnet. Next she ran the decorative die (Colette ornament) and punched out the negative pieces. Don't forget the ornament cap/top, Sadie wanted silver. We added, some wired tinsel (found in a big reel at Hobby Lobby). Ta Da! She had a great time making it..and says, Let's play some more, Grandma!
