My Besties Get Well Tea Time

We get a lot of respiratory problems through out the year and i had a friend recommend this great tea called "Breathe Easy".  My grandson, who is 7, and has asthma; drank some when he got sick this year and he said it helped.   I also have my husband drink it when he gets a cold and it helps him also.

So when this "Time for Tea" challenge came up at My Besties UK, this is what came to my mind..i wanted to incorporate the tea pouch as a gift for someone.  I did some searching on line and found an excellent, free tea bag pouch template here.  So i cut my box out of Kraft paper and did my own scoring and came out with this great little gift using My Besties image 743 and you can find her here:

I made a tag the same shape as the box and added a doily and ribbon to the top and then punched the half circles at the bottom to "hold" the tea bag packet" in place.  Then to secure it i tied a ribbon around it as well.

What the box looks like w/the tea tag tucked in:

Welcome to the start of a new 2 week challenge at My Besties Challenge blog!

Your challenge for the next 2 weeks at the My Besties Challenge Blog is to "Use Flowers".  (Inspirational photo shown under my card below)  I can't wait to see what you create, so that i can view it on the blog!

To join this My Besties challenge please click here! *Remember you must use any My Besties when you create your project. :)

This card was created because i had colored up this image before i knew what the challenge was going to be..and i thought, it's time to use the Fairy sisters..i colored them up thinking of the characters from the movie "Frozen".  My grand daughter who is 5 informed me that Anna and Elsa are not fairies.  LOL  Anyway, i envisioned them living in a woodland forest covered w/flowers!

My Besties Shy and her pup...Faux Chalkboard style

Lot of things going on with this card.  My friend was struggling with a double side step card and she sent me the instructions and i gave it try and decided to use the card base for a challenge.  I have also sent her a sample of what i made in the mail.

At first i had made a dark navy card base thinking it was black..you know how that goes..well, in the light of day it was navy and it didn't work for a black and white challenge. :)  So i made another card base and this one IS black. :)

So the fancy fold card, is a double side step and from what i can tell so far, i've seen maybe two places w/instructions and one youtube video.   (Paper tutorial is here) (Youtube video with different dimensions is here)

Here is my card using the Double side step fancy fold instructions and the coolest new Sherri Baldy's digi called Shy and her pup found here:
Sherri Baldy will also be releasing some new dies..the flower in the background is one of the dies.

Side view to see the dimension:

Memory box- Winter frames behind the image.

My Besties, "How Much is that Doggie in the Window" or Just for you!

Couldn't make up my mind which sentiment would be fun..so i left it blank.  However, as you all know by now..i have a lot of cards without sentiments..thinking that it could be added later when used or purchased.

I post almost all of my cards to my Etsy Shop..the link is listed on the side bar.

I tend to give most of my dog cards away to my Daughter-in-law every time she visits.  She gives them to her vet or to the doggie daycare workers/owners.

This card, however, i colored with a friend's dog in mind.  Her dogs are so pretty.  Here is my card using a dog from My Besties:
