Digital Delights Summer Fun Spinning Card

Good Monday Morning!

I hope your weekend was wonderful and you are ready to create something fun that i've made for Digital Delights Hostess Monday!

I found a really neat idea on Pinterest and decided to change it up a bit using some Digital Delights images.  Click here for a great YouTube tutorial i used for my inspiration.

Here is the card i hope to teach you to make:

Here are the supplies you will need:

card base
first layer (solid blue)
second layer cut out large circle and then cut that circle smaller so that you have about 1/2" space between the outer circle and the inner circle (as shown in picture)
foam tape
penny
Digital Delights Birthday Sentiment, Just for you Sentiment (or sentiments of your choosing)
Dolphin from Pelican Set and not shown Birthday Cake Josh (for hat and cake).

Th green paper is the back side of the water paper.  Put foam tape on the back of the cut out mat and the circle.  You want them both raised so that the penny will be able to slide in the space.







To the left is the mat placement and where the penny goes.  Now put the circle on top of the penny. Add a foam dot to the top of the penny.  Color and cut out the dolphin. I printed my dolphin out at 3" high.



Here is another view with the image rotated around the circle.  I've also added a Memory Box wave die and some clear sparkly gems for water bubbles.

I also printed off the Digital Delights image Birthday Cake Josh and colored his hat and piece of cake, cut them out and placed the hat on the dolphin and the cake in his hand.  I then enlarged the hat again, cut it out and put it on top of the birthday sentiment!

I bet you are "green" with envy seeing this My Bestie having sooo much fun!

Honestly, i was never a fan of tire swings..i thought they hurt my tush and so do the park swings that form around your tush.

I do love the wooden swing my dad put up on the clothes line poles..it was the best when i was growing up.  Later after i grew up and left home, he put up a swing on the tree in the back yard..i took a picture of it and i added below.

Swings are the best i think.  I have a glider now that i enjoy.. gheesh that makes me sound so old! 

Here is this sweet little Besties having the best summer ever on her swing!

When i fussy cut her, i added some foam tape under her legs to get a 2D affect:

We are re-visiting some images we have had in our store.  This one first appeared last year at Christmas.  I've changed her out to be an "anytime" image by changing out the colors and by calling the poinsettia a "flower".

For this project i am using a My Besties 3D sheet found at Sherri Baldy's My Besties store here.

These sheets are fun and easy to use!  They are all pre-colored for you, all you do is print out your sheets, cut out the pieces you wish to use and layer them with foam tape, foam dots/squares or Silicone glue.

This fun image at Digital Delights is called Bikini Pasha.  I have used the upper half of this image.  I like making the images bigger so they "pop" more and i can do that by enlarging them and cropping off the bottom half. :)
