Stampers Anonymous - Halloween Doodles Card

Catching up on some blog posting... i created this project before Halloween and didn't post it.  I like to make posts just to remind me of what i did..

I was inspired to make this because of a Tim Holtz stamp set i had purchased last year. My initial idea was to make a gift bag with a window..and it transformed into a shaker card instead.

So, I started out with a bag template and cut it down to make a frame instead.
I colored the paper with Tim Holtz Watercolor pencils to get the background design. I also made a separate background and used the watercolor pencils the same way. Coloring and blending with a water brush.
Once that dried i used Distress Archival Ink - Faded Jeans and stamped the stars from the stamp set, Halloween Doodles. I stamped the mushrooms in the background with Distress Archival - Hickory Smoke and color them in with PrismaColor pencils. On a separate piece of paper i stamped the mushrooms again the same way except i fussy cut them out.
Next, i stamped the pumpkins on a separate piece of card stock using Distress Archival - Hickory Smoke and colored those in with Prismacolor pencils as well. Last thing i stamped was the ghost on white card stock with VersaFine Clair Ink - Nocturne. I colored the ghost in with Prismacolor pencils as well. Now to put it all together. I wanted a shaker element, so i used a clear sleeve and put the background stamped card into the sleeve with some chunky glitter. I taped that shut and put it behind the framed piece i made. i used foam tape to make the frame be raised a bit higher.
I measured out a black card base and added some white cheesecloth so it would show around the framed shaker card. I adhered that to the cheese cloth with foam tape. Next i added the pumpkins and mushrooms to the top of the frame with foam tape/glue. I tucked in or put cheese cloth on top of the pumpkins/mushrooms. Before i added the ghost i glued a bit of cheese cloth to the bottom and behind him. I adhered him with foam tape as well.

Tutti Designs - 563 Always Grateful

Hello!  Let's see what you can create with Tutti Designs today!

For this card, i started with Tutti Designs Craft Papers - Holiday Wishes. I used one green buffalo plaid paper and cut out the center of the paper using Tutti Designs - 618 Nesting Stitched Postage.  I set that aside and saved the outside/frame for the first layer on the card, knowing that i'd cover up what i cut out from the center of the paper. Next i used Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - RainbowDance and cut out a large enough square to cover the cut out from the green paper.  From the center of the orange paper i cut out Tutti Designs - 563 Always Grateful, i saved the large negative pumpkin bits so i could inset them back into the pumpkin.  So i layered the orange paper, the green buffalo plaid postage die cut on top of the orange paper (that i cut the Always Grateful out of).  I then glued the Always Grateful orange cut out on top of the green buffalo plaid postage die cut and added the large pumpkin negative bits.  So fair i used 2 papers by diecutting "under" what would be covered up by other papers.  No waste that way! so before i could put down the orange part i just glued together, i cut out Tutti Designs - 394 Leaves Scroll 2 times one from a craft paper and another from a scrap i had. I glued them to the back of the orange design i had made and used double sided foam tape to add the whole design to the green buffalo plaid mat (with a die cut out of it).   Last thing was i added a bow and some gems.

Wonderful Bookmark Gift - Fairy Hugs Enchanted Dies - Nightwell Castle

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!!

I am a DT for Fairy Stamper Hugs!
It is the #1 USA Retailer for Fairy Hugs Stamps
Check out the store here!!

Simple tag, but remember to keep the die cut from the "inset" opening for another card because it makes a beautiful ombre die cut.   To make this tag, use a strip of paper and diecut Fairy Hugs Enchanted Die - Nightwell Castle and save it.  Use the "window" that you just made to inset a white diecut from the same die. Before you inset the white die, stamp Fairy Hugs - Fireworks and Sparkle Dust and Fairy Hugs Sentiment - Once Upon.  Die cut your background die and layer the stamped strip on top.  Now you can add your castle diecut into the window opening. Add some ribbon to the top of the die and you have a wonder little gift for someone.

Tutti Designs - 151 Fall Leaves Arch

Hello!  Let's see what you can create with Tutti Designs today!

For this card, i wanted to try something new i saw using hexagons.  I saw hexagons turned into a flower.  I think having the right paper makes it really fun.  I stared making my card using Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - RainbowDance and WinkleBush.  I cut out Tutti Designs - 151 Fall Leaves Arch and then i backed it with some paper from the same pack.  From Tutti Designs - 616 Nesting Stitched Hexagons, i cut out hexagon flowers. i cut out 3 - 2"green, 3 - 1.5" peach/pink and 3-1" blue hexagons. Next i folded them in half at the points and then i folded them again in half at the rest of the points.  Next i hand cut slits up to about 1/8" from the center to make the petals.  I hole punched each one and added a brad.  I hand cut a banner to act as the center of the design.  Then i adhered everything to the card base as shown.  I also die cut Tutti Designs - 233 Word Set "thanks" from antique glitter paper to match the center banner strip.
