For this card, I have started with Tutti Craft Papers - Holiday Wishes (red and black buffalo plaid). The black and white buffalo plaid is from We Are 3 Digital Paper - Black Essentials. My first task was to create Tutti Designs - 714 Holly Ornament. To create the ornament and not waste paper, i die cut the outline background die from the center of the red and black paper because i knew i would be covering it up. I did the same thing with the ornament die and the mirror paper. I cut the die from the center of the mirror paper because, again, i knew i would be covering it up with the top layers. So now we have the entire ornament cut out, but i did some snipping on the actual ornament because i wanted to create a scene. I cut the grid/diamonds out of the design and replaced them with the deer scene. The deer scene is from Tutti Designs - 561 Deer Forest Landscape. I placed the ornament over the die cut and cut away the excess. Next, i cut the just the top of the ornament again with red glitter paper so that i could inset red glitter paper back into the poinsettia on the top of the ornament. Now i can layer everything on top of the card base. To add more interest, i die cut 2 Tutti Designs - 148 Pinecone Branch from white card stock. I fussy cut the lines off the die. Last i cut, Tutti Designs - 715 Potted Christmas Tree 2 times from white card stock. However, the first layer i cut "lightly" so the inside pieces didn't cut through...or you can line the back of the card stock with double-sided tape and run that through your die cutting machine with the idea that it will stay together because of the thickness. I cut the second die as normal and used foam tape behind the ornaments because i knew i would be covering up the ornaments with gems and i also put foam tap under the placement of the bow, knowing the bow would cover up the foam tape. Last i added gems to the deer & tree too.
