Be Happy

Hello everyone and happy Thursday!!
It’s time for a new Lavinia World Challenge featuring Lavinia stamps.
We are a bi-weekly Challenge Blog and the theme will be Anything Goes using stamps
(either rubber or clear, but no digi stamps).
Details are found under the "rules" tab on the Challenge Blog.

 Lavinia World Challenge has a
NEW Facebook group called, Anything Lavinia (click here
another place where you can enter the Lavinia World Challenge.
With one exception...

Your card/project must include anything Lavinia (stamps, papers)
if added to the Anything Lavinia Facebook group.

For my project, I used
Bee - LAV132
Dandelions - LAV166
Spring Trees - LAV168
Fairy Hive - LAV503
See a Fairy Sentiment - LAV485

First step in this project:
I cut a piece of watercolor paper and got it wet.  Then i stamped
the dandelions in two color inks
Distress Oxide - Pumice Stone
Distress Oxide - Weathered Wood
Then i took the smallest stamp (leaves) from Lavinia Stamps - Spring Trees
and stamped randomly with:
Distress Oxide - Scattered Straw
Distress Oxide - Shabby Shutters
Catherine Pooler - Aquatini
Then i stamped Fairy Hive and one Bee with VersaFine Clair - Nocturne
I used Tim Holtz Sizzix 660220 to cut out the "honey comb"
I needed a reverse bee to add to the bottom right side of the hive.
So what i did was stamp on to a back of a red rubber stamp i had (that wasn't attached to a block).
I took the red rubber (that i stamped the bee onto)
and stamped it on another piece of watercolor scrap.
I hand cut out the bee and attached it to the front with foam tape.
At this time, I inked the edges with Pumice Stone and Weathered Wood.
(i inked the edges more later)
I added a bit of Prismacolor pencil to the bee's body, roof, heart and the window stones
I added a bit of hologram glitter paint to the bee's wings
Now to prepare the base.

What i did in photos:
I purchased a wooden wood wall art from a charity shop
I printed off some digital paper - We Are 3 Digital Paper - Nature Blends
and i used a scrap of We Are 3 Digital Paper - Hello
I used mod podge and attached the digital paper on top of the wooden wall art
Once that dried i stamped the paper with Lavinia Stamps sentiment See A Fairy
I added the We Are 3 Digital Paper - Hello scrap
to the back of the Fairy Hive stamped project with Mod Podge
Then i added a layer of Mod Podge to the back of the Fairy Hive stamped project .
Then i attached and burnished that to the front (on top of the aqua digital paper)
Once that dried, i added Mod Podge to the entire front, including the foam taped bee.
*Tip.  This digital paper was printed on an Ink Jet printer so the paper is waterbased
and the ink will bleed..just pay attention to where you put your brush because it will transfer the ink to the Fairy Hive.  You can see that the aqua paper intensifies because of the Mod Podge.

Once this is dried i added more Distress Ink to the edges
This time i added:
Distress Oxide - Mermaid Lagoon
Distress Oxide - Black Soot
I also used Art Alchemy Wax - Firebird

That's it.  I love how these stamps are so detailed!
And how i could "blur" the dandelions to have them look like they are in the background.
