Tutti Designs - 663 Spooky Windows (cat)

I have some wonderful Spooky windows that i have been working on.  This is the 3rd one so far.  I love how it turned out.

For this card, i started out with We Are 3 Digital Paper - Watercolor Batik.

Then i die cut Tutti Designs - 663 Spooky Windows (cat) out of copper glitter paper.

I framed it by cutting out a square and a smaller square to make a frame. I used We Are 3 Digital Paper - Autumn Flannel for the frame.

Next i used the web from Tutti Designs - 728 Web and Spiders.  I cut it in half and added it to the window frame.  Once that was all adhered to the card base.  Last thing i did was cut out Tutti Designs - 717 Poinsettia Frame in black and added that on top of the framed window.

Today i want to share how you can use Tutti Designs - Two ways!

These two projects aren't really too different other than 

i put one on a gift bag and the other on a card.

For both of these projects i cut the die out of black paper.  I traced the die onto white card stock to get a template base.  I cut out the van as one template and the tree as another template.

I traced the van onto some We Are 3 Digital Paper - and hand cut those out.  I glued the van cut out pieces to the black die cut. I did the same for the tree.  As you can see the wheels are the same color as the van, so i used a dark gel pen and colored those in. The windows needed a different color, too, so i die cut just the windows from a light blue paper and glued those on top of the die cut.  Next for a few accents.  I used my gel pens to color in the ornaments, punched a tiny hole in the middle of the wheels and added small brads.  I also added gems to the tree circles/ornaments.

Now to put the die cut on the bag, this is what i did:

I cut out a piece of We Are 3 Digital Paper - for the plaid base.

I then die cut a circle for the "moon" from We Are 3 Digital Paper - Watercolor Batik.

I used some Distress Oxide to the edges of the moon.  I adhered the plaid strip and moon to Kraft cardstock. I had some jute and tied that around the plaid base which made it look like the van was riding on something. I adhered that base to the bag and then used some foam tape to add the van to the scene.  I pulled out my favorite die - Tutti Designs - 468 Snow Flurries and randomly added those to the scene with some gems. 

 

For the card, pretty much the same as the bag, except instead of the plaid, i tore some We Are 3 Digital paper to look like snow.  I also used Tutti Designs - Coral for my tree.

Playing with paper dolls!

My daughter is a follower of a company called, Of Unusual Kind on Instagram.
She showed me these Free paperdolls and i love them and purchased Willow, too!

Mixed Media Art - Shaker

Hello everyone and happy Thursday!!

I have an announcement!
I am excited to announce that i am a Lavinia World DT
 

It’s time for a new Lavinia World Challenge featuring Lavinia stamps.

          We are a bi-weekly Challenge Blog and the theme will be Anything Goes using stamps

(either rubber or clear, but no digi stamps). 

                               Details are found under the "rules" tab on the Challenge Blog.

 Here is my inspiration for you!

I have a step-by-step photo tutorial for you:

I have a wooden frame canvas i purchased at a Charity shop (Escape).

First i printed off We Are 3 Digital Paper - Watercolor Batik.

Then i stamped the Lavinia stamp set - Tree Scene 

(using VersaFine Clair - Nocturne and Morning Mist)

I adhered the stamped paper to the top of the wooden canvas with Mod Podge.

Then i added another layer of Mod Podge and sprinkled some Stampendous Shaved Ice on top.

Next i printed off another sheet of We Are 3 Digital Paper - Watercolor Batik and cut out a circle for the inside of the Tim Holtz pocket watch.  

I adhered the paper circle with tacky glue to the pocket watch base.  

I added Mod Podge to the top of the paper and sprinkled it with Stampendous - Shaved Ice.

I then stamped one of the Lavinia Fairy Forager's to the top of the glass of the pocket watch

using Stazon Pigment - Piano Black.

I die cut Tonic Studios - Wings & Things Damselfly & Dixie Wings (twice from cereal box)

I glued those together and cut them apart a the base to make two separate wings.

I painted the wings with black gesso and waxed them with Art Alchemy Turquoise Satin and Firebird.

I glued the wings on the top of the wooden canvas positioning them so they'd be underneath the pocket watch with Mod Podge Dimensional glue.

I also painted the sides of the pocket watch with black gesso and waxed it using the same waxes.

I glued just the back of the pocket watch (base) on top of the wings.

I added a few sequins to the base of the pocket watch and then attach the top of the pocket watch.

Now you have a shaker canvas mixed media art you can set on a shelf or hand up!

Here is my card using Ching Chou Kuik image, Spring (bird)

I digitally created my own background paper. 

I have also turned this image into a 3D image by printing it 4 times.

I crop only the sections i need to layer.  

For instance, i cropped the flowers for the last 2 layers

And then i printed those layers.

I also used foam tape to raise up each layer.

I have used Prismacolor Pencils to color this image.
