Snow Date cardmaking #3

On to the 3rd card and it's a tad bit easier than the last one and i modified it so that anyone can make this card.  You can omit the circles and still get the same look, i would add some green w/the flowers though if you omit the circles.  The inspiration for this card is again in Magnolia Ink's Easter issue from last year and is on page 41.

here are the supplies that i used:
5 x 5 card
First mat 4.75 x 4.75- brown
inside the brown mat use aqua (just a bit smaller than above size)
inside the aqua mate use the aqua pattern again cut a bit smaller than the aqua above
Brown- 2.75 x 2.75
Again add the aqua inside a bit smaller
Cream w/words on top of the aqua above a bit smaller.
Easter sentiment -matted two times w/brown and aqua
distress ink
Green circles- 3" and 3.25"
Ribbon, tulle & flowers

 Distress your small cream piece and then double mat the pieces as shown.

 Distress your sentiment and double mat as shown.  Adhere the cream matted piece on top of the patterned aqua piece.  Foam tape the sentiment to the card as shown.

Adhere your two circles as shown..i used the fine tip glue pen.

 Make a tulle bow and add your flowers.  The image will sit just above the "Happy Easter" to the right. The flowers will balance the image being to one side.

Hello, Chocolate Swirls and Fluffy bunny tails!

Oh i sort of laugh at myself coming up with titles..i think...i can't have it be the same title..so this is what i came up with.

Springtime rain

Everything has turned green and the flowers have bloomed so early this year because of the warm temperatures.  This challenge from Pollycraft (Water, water everywhere) is a good reminder of spring...it is my favorite season...i love seeing things grow and the color combinations are beautiful.  The red bud tree against the newness of the green is breathtaking i think and add a bit of carved gray rock and it's gorgeous.  Well, my card doesn't depict that at all, but that's what i think of when i think of spring and what the rain brings.

For this card i am combining two challenges one is for Anyone for Anya and the other one is a Saturday Sketch for TGF (The greeting farm).

You Can't be 30!

Today is my daughter in law's birthday, she is the youngest in our family (other than my grandkids) and she's 30, so now all of my children are in their 30"s.  So for this challenge i made this card for my daughter in law. She has two chihuahua dogs and one is blonde and her name is "Daisy" so based on that and the sketch at Mo's Challenge Blog, i made this card.  I think my cards end up more interesting with a challenge..i wouldn't have thought to add these colors or the flourish to the card without the challenge.

Happy Easter egg shaped card

Would you like to know the process for this card?  It's a bit more complicated...This is the first time i am submitting a card to "The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge"...kind of excited as i have some fun stamps to play with. :)

So the challenge is this inspirational photo and we need to incorporate an egg in our card/project.

I went for the flowers and a bit of purple.







The card base was made on my cricut/gypsy.  I didn't have an egg card, so i looked for a shape and found one in the Picturesque cartridge.  For my card i wanted to make some scallops so i used the letter "o" and welded it all the way around the outside of the egg shape.  I also used the banner found in the Christmas cartridge and used foam dots to pop the layer of the bows.  The flourish is from Memory Box and i cut it apart to make it work around the image.  The image is Tilda with a big ribbon...she is so sweet.
