Just for fun.. to challenge myself
I have been admiring cards created with Sentimentally Yours products.
I have been wanting some of the new product..but it isn't so easy to find it here in the US.
So i did some searching and found this beautiful Sentimentally Yours rubber stamp on Ebay.
It is called Bohemian Flourish. I was thinking it was new, because i am learning the line.
Turns out it is dated 2019. To me it is still "new".
I wanted to share whatever i made in the Creating with Sentimentally Yours Facebook group.
Whenever you share in a company's site you are to use their product. Well, i only own this stamp because of the product just isn't available here unless it's old.
So everything i will put on this card will be with the stamp only.
So plan A was to ink up the stamp with Distress Oxide Ink and spritz the stamp to get a watercolor look.
That idea didn't work so well.
So plan B.. i decided to stamp the image with VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist and color it in with PrismaColor pencils. As this evolved, i chose to stamp the floral part 2 more times and color that area in to look like the main stamp flower.
When i finished coloring in the stamped images, i fussy cut around them. Now i needed something to put this design on. I wanted something "more" than white card stock. So i decided to stamp the stamp onto white card stock using Distress Oxide Ink - Lost Shadow..i also used clear embossing powder to get a bit of a shine.
Now, i can layer up my card. I decided to machine stitch around the border of the paper. I matted that and put adhered that to the card base. Next, i glued the extra flowers as shown. And i used double-sided foam tape for the main image and adhered that as well.
I needed something to fill in the corner areas and i didn't have a sentiment from Sentimentally Yours, so i used small pieces of cheese cloth and glued and tucked them under the main stamped image.
I am hoping to find some more Sentimentally Yours stamps, so that i can continue to participate in the Facebook group.
Thanks for stopping by!
This card is amazing! I love how you colored it! And the gauze is so cool as an embellishment!
